could you please hilight the points which are important and consider at the time of purchasing of old jeeps not from army auction but from other sellers like 1942 Mb and others
jeeps (regarding the documents, Chaises numbet etc)

Please check the papers. If you have army auction documents have them checked by a professional as they need to be registered in a certain amount of time. I have been through this issue with my MB and had to pay a lot to get the issue fixed in all legal respects.
If you buy a new engine keep the receipt as it will be used during registration.
Find a good mechanic to have your vehicle checked.
Dont worry about paint or minor dents. As you will have to strip the army paint off and paint it again.
Dont pay the mechanic in one go. Set milestones and pay him after every completed milestone.
