    @tariqzaidi

    Yeah!

    It's 50% true, but this the problem which 1989-Down models have!

    and
    when you drive uphill with more then 4 passangers+luggage+AC on in Extreme heat,
    Pajaro gets overheate!

    In this range you can get Up model in very good condition!

    However, You have some other options;

    *Toyota Surf/Hilux (1990-2000 best offroad in my openion(Y))
    *Toyota RAV4 (2000-Down)
    *Toyota Landcrusier (1986 or 1993)
    And

    *Kia Sportage (2005-Up in very good conditon)

    Or

    *Suzuki Vitara (hard to find in good condition)
    Safety 1st!
    Always Must!

    Thanx everybody,
    So far everybody is recommending Toyota rather than Pajero. My mechanic also said the same that if I need Pajero it should be 1990 plus. When Pajero is travelling on heights it works fine but on straight roads its performance is questionable according to him.
    @ prince sultan,
    I will preffer diesel vehicle because its engine torque is good and is more affordable. Vitara is beautiful car but its petrol. Can you tell me about Kia sportage for sale..Korean assembled..:-)

    Yeah heard of it too...this problem is in most of the mitsubishi cars even in the early 1990s too, me have changed many engines....even sportage lately had the same problem...

    Try other options...

    Pajero's with V6 3.5 Litre engines are all good.

    Diesel or Petrol specially on 2nd hand 4WD will totally depends on the maintenance by the previous owner.

    2ndly toyota has good repo all around the world but a badly maintained toyota is also going to have same issues like a badly maintained pajero will, however fixing an old toyota is much cheaper then alot other cars.

    @ Kewlsolara,
    Yeah, this a good point. A bad mechanic can give you a bad time, otherwise 1975 Bedford trucks are still operational in Pakistan.
