    Default Valuable feedback required

    Dear Pakwheelers,
I require your valuable feedback regarding the purchase of an SUV. I have a budget of 1 million. I have been doin my research looking at various cruisers such as B and F series of Toyota. As well as the Defender series of Land Rover. The thing is that I don't want an engine swap or a huge restoration project as I know I will not be able to take out the time and neither do I have the required expertise. What I am looking for is reliable vehicle that I can use daily that I can accessorize according to my specification and needs. You feedback is greatly appreciated.

    @ storm

I would really love to get a Defender 90, though I wanted to ask you if it's spare parts are readily available in the market. I know you are one of the foremost pakwheelers and would like to enquire where to look for a clean Landy. I have searched the car finder tool at Pakwheels and have contacted a few people through this forum and they just asking exhorbitant prices. Other than looking at classifieds in newspapers is there any other place or source that might help me in my search. Thankyou once again for your kind feedback.

    AOA,
    Dear Asadm22,

For the amount mentioned a reconditioned 1990-1993 Surf would be the best and most economical option.

Based on my experience don’t get into “restore” project unless you are ready to say good-bye to your family for 6 months, willing to attend weddings in the family straight from workshop held ups, and at the end the project cost you time and expected cost + 2 laks more! It also requires great deal of mechanical knowledge, sitting with “mistry” folks all days, evenings and weekends.

Your budget allow you to buy something decent enough which should be ready to be driven from day one.

    Regards,
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Any 1988 thru 1994 Prado / Land Cruiser 2, as long as they are 3 liter engine, not 2.4l 2lt.
