    why don't you all fabricate your own. all you need is a watertight seal at every join. I had one on my D110 and honestly speaking even though it was made locally (but supplied as an original LR part) it was exellent and served its purpose perfectly.

    agree with @ Storm, fabricating ur own custom made snorkel for ur ride just as the orignal one will be the best option cost wise

    after all there are some brilliant craftsman out there in the market to do the job for u

    Good informative links Shehzad bhai. .. A snorkel is not too complicated a thing to make. The issues that you have to take care of are
    1- Air tight links
    2- Aesthetic looks
    3- and importantly a design that allows for filtering out of all th bugs that would go in and most of the moisture as well.
    I agree with Storm and Fishak.. There are amazing craftsmen out there that can make whatever you ask them to. I am planning to design one and get a few made myself but that will take time.. Still in the initial stages..
    Thanks

    The picture that Pinkpanther has posted is that of Rasim's Vitara, he used 2.5 inch sanitary pipe for making the snorkel, cost of material was Rs.300 only and he paid 500 to the mechanic. On the other hand, if you import a genuine Safari snorkel, it will cost you between 25000 and 35000 i.e. depnding on the make and model of the vehicle.

    If you have extra money or are brand contionus, for Safari snorkel you can contact Mr. Aleem 0300-9444172. Mr. Aleem and his partner are the importors of ARB products in Pakistan, which in adition to Safari, include Oldman EMU shocks as well.

    Dear All,

    If cosmetics are not important, this has worked well for me over 2/3 rallies.

    Previously, I had one imported( SAFARI SNORKEL) from Australia and it cost well over 40 grand including shipping and customs.

    The improvised apparatus costs hardly 5 grand and does the trick.

    @oklodhi

    It ain't rocket science dear.....4'' dia steel pipe bent to conform to your vehicle's contours.....some clamps....that's about it!!!

    If you are into plastics....call Afzal Sahib on 0300 2173528....especially if looks are a must. Most of the rally 4x4s on the national circuit run on his customized snorkels.

    I thought about the coaster snorkels.. But a close inspection turned me off. They seem to be not too impressive quality plastic ones.. The Land Rover ones are much much superior and are metal. I think thats a better choice.
