Default Lets design a SUV ourself

I know it will sound like a joke to all of you so lets start it like a "Game". Looking at our neighbour India, I think why cant we design a nice SUV? Participation of all is requested please. Your input is required in keeping in view the usage in Pakistan:

    Initial questions would be:

    1. What size do you suggest?

    2. What engine size ?

    3. Diesel, petrol, CNG, LPG, Ethenol etc ?

4.What features would you suggest in the vehicle?

    5. etc.etc.etc?
To all the extreme drivers, please come offroad like ME to keep others safe on the roads.

    @abhatti
Do you really think this guy will start manufacturing cars just sitting at home?
Do you know what public opinion means?
Do you know what survey means?
Do you really think Japan invented everything from scratch?
Do you think Designers and engineers of our beloved country are so useless?
Do you know the motorbikes produced in Pakistan have hit the foriegn brands very very hard?
Do you know what Indian OEMs have done?
Do you really think they are going to seize their project because you are calling them *&%^#?
Do you really think you are being loyal to your employer by keeping others out of bussiness?

@abhatti I do not wish to hijack the thread so I'll be brief.

1st of all Its rude to be sarcastic how good u may think u r compared to others. Answer 2 u'r 1st para is that u left the country, doing good & sending money to your family has nothing to do with Pakistan. It revolves around u only. Its a notion to sound patriotic when abroad.

Answer 2 u'r 2nd para is that don't judge people without knowing them 1st. What u r doing right now is almost what I did for 9 years and left BY CHOICE. Others on these forums are much more qualified & knowledgeable but they don't brag about that and take a humble approach towards a casual discussion.

Not everyone is trying to make money out of everything.

As we are talking about 4x4s & dreams, may I suggest exploring the creation of JEEP Hurricane. Have a nice day.

@jeepaholic sorry for dragging it a bit off-topic.

Every one knows it takes a lot of effort and money to produce a car on comercial basis....so there should be no discussion......

our first proto type has to be a cut & weld master piece and combination of different body parts including some local fabrication, and later the mass production thingy comes........so why waste energy in discussing things which are too far off....

lets discuss some basics here....length....width.....height....weight....se ating cpacity....engine type.... engine capacity.....

so kool it guys and lets proceed further......

    -2.5-3.0ltr turbo diesel
-three rows of front facing seats, 7-8 seater
-Elliminate jerry can on the boot door and place a sub tank next to main tank like the GCC specs SUVs
-Rear A/C with ample vents for the last row
-No need of air suspension, regular leaf-spring setup would be fine.
-Roll cage should be compulsory on SWB off-road packaged SUVs.
-Seat belts for every seat, including the center one
-Most importantly it should comply with EURO 4 engine exhaust gas emission levels

Unless we are considering putting in high-tech & expensive colling systems from modern SUVs, its better to have A/C condenser & radiator be installed separately and have independent airflow & fan system. Even the radiator should have a separate high speed electric fan. This will keep the vehicle & passengers COOL even in extreme off driving at slow speed.

Yes I agree hot weather is major problem for the vehicles here and you have suggested a very practical solution. Extra capacity cooling system is a must. Our ambient conditions include Extreme weather(hot), lots of dust. I remember long back when suzuki started assembling in pakistan it used to have air filter in car AC which could be cleaned like the one we have in our room split ACs.

Syncview, you don;t need a SUV to break my walls, you can break them with a sledge hammer, its all insured so I really don't care either, but then you should better be ready to pay back for the rest of your life.

Jeepaholic, buddy my capabilities are not there to be a designer so I can't help you at all in this aspect.

I could post some thing this much cc or lit motor, or such and such gear and transmission like others but it won't help you at all, sorry i don't make catle in the air. good luck, i will be waiting to see some thing realistic to come out of this thread. good luck

Tareen my frind i am not going to occupy here at all, just following up, its a weekend thats why you are getting this many replies from me. too much time to waste this weekend.

Beta Tayyab95 thanks for pointing out again my spell mistake, as long as message gets across thats all matter, I did not born in a computer age luckily like you so i am still learning, bear with me.

By the way I give a suggestion to all the car design enthusiast, what if you design a kit car, you guys could form shell body in dent and paint shop according to your concept based on any famous brand, you could probably buy a used motor and tranny of appropriate size either from Sher Shah or Bilal Gunj, same as lights, bumpers and other body parts, put together a kit car, oh sorry SUV. What do you think my sugestion isn't realistic?

    @abhatti
sir, i would like to ask one thing, if you´re so curious to know about what is gonna be worked out of this thread, then just wait and watch, why do you keep on criticising for nothing, but atlesat you shouldn´t be talking like that, leave the things as they are for the ones who´re atleast willing to try, not just keep on criticising, if this thread according to you would do no good, neither your critisism would do any good or harm to this thread...so just sit back and keep ur freakin retarded comments to yourself. i went through one thread on the pakwheels in which a single guy reformed the whole engine of his car, if a single person can do all the works of an engine, why can´t the hundreds of people on pakwheels build a car? there are numbers of experts and financially strong members on the pakwheels, if you´re not willing to contribute, then BETTER JUST STAY AWAY WITH THE STUPID COMMENTS IN YOUR MIND. I´m sure your wife would have said the same thing to you many times as i´ve kinda read your mind that only knows how to criticise.
