well, only the XLI is being sold at a price below the invoice. Further, that's NOT Toyota Indus who's selling or using this strategy but the showroom owners to liquidate their investment fast and circulate better. Btw, f.y.i, GLI is now available for not less than 1450k whereas it use to be available @ 1430k all past week!

Sir g i ask you that y shud it not??

secondly thats not a strategy, its jst the demand nd suply law, the showroom ppl nd the investors are forced to sell the cars below to release their money.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

they are selling them "under invoice" simply to fool you all into thinking that they are doing you a favour, bottom line is that people are getting a little smarter and are starting to realize that the Xli is garbage.

toyota doesn't want to kill the market value of the rest of their local piles of cack so they are just using silly/clever marketing tricks.

    ^ agreed

they are not selling......so insted of lowering the prices they are playing a double game.

buy 15 cars from them and u get an xli for 1150 ang gli for 1280.

in this way they get to sell their crap while mantaining market.

some people buy from the underinvoiving dealers........and some buy from toyota itself.

THIS IS JUST AN EXPERIMENT........to locate the median point of their new lowered prices in JULY.....a point that may be sufficient enogh for them , to prevent them from going under operating loss.
