Default Stop Buying Used Car In June 09

    Hi Friends!!!!!

I have visited Lahore/Islamabad used car market to buy XLI 2003-2005... but every thing is blocked in market...

Actully you know Honda/Toyota reduced new cars price Rs 80000 t0 100000/- ... this impact is coming on used car also.. but now used car sellers are not agree to reduce prices.

In this way after budget... used car dealers says... next month used cars price will be reduced due to this no any bargaining of used car in these days local markets.

    SO STOP YOUR BUYING!!!!!

YOU READ ABOVE... NOW PLEASE REPLY/ GIVE YOU COMENT FOR EVERYONE IDEA... BEST REGARDS

u r absolutely right bro....i visited islamabad market and knew that the prices of used cars are shockingly high....i dnt know for how long these prices will remain high but right now these are very high...so the best policy these days to buy used cars is to wait and see...
the richest ones are not those who have the most, but those who need the least

the reason they are high is because new cars are still too expensive.

for example.........vti orial prosmatic 2009 is almost 20lac on road , while a vti orial prosmatic 2005 is around 11 to 12 lac. not much difference in performance of these cars but a huge difference of 8 lac!

so why would a seller want to sell his car at cheap price and than spend several lac rupess buying a similar new car?

Point is second hand cars are in high demand and this will continue

You r right bro, I also wanted to buy a car but have decided to wait a month or so to let the prices settle down a bit. I think the prices of old cars will also come down like the new cars. Its just a matter of time.......

The prices are on the higher side because no one wants to sell his car. And no one wants to sell his car because for instance, if I sell my civic 2005-6 for 10 lakhs, to buy the next model CIVIC, I'd have to add atleast 7-8 lakh rupees.

IMO, there wouldn't be any effect on used cars prices. It will just be another excuse for dealers to offer even lesser price for your car if you intend to sell yours. But if you're in the maket to buy something, you'll get it expensive.

Do you mean to tell me you cannot make out the difference of the:

    1. engine displacement (1.6l vs 1.8l)

    2. mileage

    3. parts' wear and tear

    4. shape?

saadisb, you are very right; dealers on Muree Road are literally theives. a `96 Corolla is for nothing less that Rs. 850000 whereas these came for as low as Rs. 600000 max. some crazy tuts are even demanding Rs. 9 lac plus.

Useful post. the market HAS frozen indeed. someone needs to break the ice. m not saying government because it is too much to expect from ANY Pakistani govt.

where to find a rightly priced car in isloo/rwp?

most of the ppl selling cars in jumma bazar seem to be dealers.

one has to stay on his toes. give you an example............

m interested in purchasing 2004 shape Platz. most tuts are selling above seven lacs, a few even for nine. you can see them here at PakWheels as well. yet every few weeks there is some sensible fool selling his for the right Rs. 650000-660000 range. it's tricky, but one has to keep trying and not be lazy. Sunday's papers are equally useless too.

Dear All Friend... Who Replied on my this Topic with their Great views, i am thankfull .... Its really great discussion for this hot issue.... used car price after budget 2009-10

I am agreed with my that friends views that suppose sale Civic 2005 car on 10-11 lac... when need new modle 2009... here is need extra 8-9lac.. but both modles comfert level in uses alsmost same.

But Price of used car will not come down as per my market observation.... bcoz toyota/honda reduced their price on June-13,2009... today is 27-June, in used cars market prices are demanding as before budget.. and Main thing - Car sales/purchase are very less in these days as per showroom data or dealers data.

It mean the Seller of Car are not ready to come down... while Buyer are demanding less prices due to budget effect...

so in this light i observe that Sellers are holding their stock... and waiting that buyers will change their mind and come on hight prices.... This concept and calculation of world any trading market...

This my point of view..... Please brother after reading above give you Kind Words on this stratigy.. this will be very helpfull for our all car Seller/buyers bro.

    Best Regards
