Great.... Very lovely climate here at Revo Fan Club.

Sheryar Bhai, its all good, we in da hood, chillin' out. Good to see you back brother.

Those are some nice pictures. Mostly Revo 80, is seen rolling off the line, which is due to ofcourse more demand for the base model. Competitive pricing has to be the key along with good quality, to enter the market as a new player.

I don't think Pakistanis are buying Revo due to this car being Made in Pakistan, those days are gone when you could sell the car based on Patriotic drive, but consumers are buying it SOLELY for its better value for the money, compare to its immediate competition.

Hopefully, Adam Motors, continues to deliver on the quality end, and once they have established their name in the market, after two or three years, they will see a Surge in Demand, due to public's confidence in product.

All indications are so far positive. People are ordering the car, steadily. Revo will be in the market for a long time to come, based on its Value for the money and better quality.

I will like to know the total production and sale figures so far. Adam Motors REVO is not a member of PAMA so no statistics of this model is being in included in monthly Auto Production figures.

@ABBASIA, yeah, it will be great to have the exact figures.

Here is a review from a new Pakwheels member, Alikhan bhai, as it was posted in another thread.

"I drove revo 800+ with gas last week engine sounds good drive is ok brakes are much better then Mehran but i felt some -ve features
    Hard gears
    Old style steering
    Seats are not comfortable
Adam motors should change the shape from back like roof should have more curve so its look more compact..
but overall not a bad car pick is fine 2 much spacious then any 800c brand infact it got some space even in back with cylinder...
so i must recommend this car but i m afraid regarding resale. "

The car was launched, officially on April, 26th 2005. But the delivery did not started till July or August, due to vendors delay, as is the case with all the other Car makers/assemblers in Pakistan.

The car sales figures are not available for general public. But the company has mentioned that its "on target" for its first year goal of 5,000 cars. So, considering it not full year till June or July of 2006, they are doing quite well.

Another fact is that the demand for this car is more than what company is currently capable of producing. So, the government has relaxed the import duty on 800cc cars and now the duties are as low as 50% on completely built up, imported car, it used to be as much as 90% for 800cc. India still has about 80 %to 100% duty on even 800cc cars, even though that country is in surplus, when it comes to making cars, and is exporting cars at this stage. That is "Over Protectionism" from the government side, when dealing with IMPORTS.

While in Pakistan we now have case of government's apathy and "Under Protectionism", due to government getting tired of being blamed for the lack of options for the general public, due to high price of local made cars and shortage of cars. So, the government has caved in to Consumer demand, while the auto makers are now not happy with government's sudden shift, to lower the tariffs down to 50%.

So, let see, what happens next.

great looking car and a perfect alternative to the mehran,... hope to see it succeeds (outselling the cr*p suzuki alternative). The more cars we can get in this sector the less "own" we'll have to pay, faster deliveries, and the better product we'll get (competition is always good).

You are right Brother Storm, with more competition not only the "Own" will be dropping on all those assembled cars, but also their prices.

Look what happened with motorbike industry, 2 to 3 years back, they were charging ridiculously high for local assembled bikes, as much as 80,000 Rupees, and now with introduction of join manufacture of Pakistan/China motorbikes, the prices of Motorbikes have come as low as 30,000 and old Japanese assemblers who once used to charge 80,000 have come down to 55,000 range. So, same can happen with cars, all those Japanese cars which are charging, 1.3 Million Rs. will be dropping there prices quickly, to under 1 Mill, once we have more Pakistan/China collaboration in Automobile industry as well, just like in Motorbike industry.

So, all in all, things are moving in right direction.

I just saw a revo outside in office my parking lot and ran to get a look.
Had a nice chat with the owner who was a young boy, i forgot to ask his name in excitement.
it was 105Si, full souped up version. Luckily he was around and allowed me and some friends to have a good look.
He says it gives him 12 Km/Lit in city and 15 on highway. On CNG he is getting 108-110 Kms on 150 Rs. Gas which i think is amazingly econmical. According to him it is the 4th car produced (pre production model) and he got it for 450000 Rs. A very happy revo pwner i must add

He had some nice decorative touches, alloy rims installed, steering wheel changed and revo baby was looking just awesome. People were all eyes around and he was getting querries from many.
dont mind the quality of pics, camera phone is just ordinary but it has done the job for me

Very very nice car indeed. Much better than mehran. More space is available even after the cylinder as compared to cultus. I was also there with spectra. Must say I am impressed. Dashboard is also good, except for meter. But overall very good value for money. I will prefer it over mehran without any doubt.
    Keep smilling.

Yes SPECTRA and JAWAFZ, the car is very spacious and even after the CNG cylinder inserted there is big space available. I will only propose some shape modifications to improve the aesthetics and for that Toyota Vitz is my benchmark. I hope with selling the car in large quantity Adam will afford the improvements.

    @spectra
You hav done the job..... Revo with Alloy Rims and sporty Steering Wheel looks really good.
I think 12Km a litre is same as santro but good milage with CNG.
I hope someday they will change the speedometer and add tacho and trip meter too. The Honda CG125 bike do have tacho and trip meters. So I don't think it would be costly for the Adam people to add the abovementioned.
