@asif Bhai.
Don't be upset my friend. Insha-Allah everything would be o'right. We all have, in some ways, endured the worst, which was the decade of the 1990s.
From now on, Insha-Allah, everything shall look up. We already hit rockbottom, during 1990s. Now, we are slowly getting up, and realizing how far down we had gone. One of the reason for so much competition from China and India has to do with CHEAPER Electricity in those two countries. They invested alot in Hydro-Dams, making electricity from Water Dams, while in our side, the politicians started fighting over KALA BAGH DAM.
The Kala Bagh Dam, as we all know already, suppose to have started in 1960s, and started producing electricity in 1970s. But some Stupid Politicians, started to make an issue over it, and use it for their political gains. Everything has its negatives, and Kalabagh's negative was displacement of some villagers. Mangla Dam, already functioning and providing electricity to all of Pakistan, also displaced some villagers, but no one made an issue out of that, why then over Kalabagh Dam.
Even in USA, when in 1930s, Hoover Dam, World's biggest, was being made, some local residents started to make trouble for the fear of loosing their ancestral homes, but government was swift and removed them from their anyway, re-situated them, and problem was solved without any Politicians getting involved.
Anyway, lets hope the new Dams do get constructed, as Alhumdulilah, Bhasha-Diamir Dam's construction has finally started. And Insha-Allah, God Willing, Kala Bagh, will also be constructed.
The politicians who oppose it should be SHOT DEAD, because these few politicians are keeping 160 Million's people's future at stake.
The electricity in Pakistan is comparatively expensive, when compared to China and India. That is why, their goods are cheaper, but not too much. Imagine, if all our Dams were constructed by now, our electricity should have been 3 to 4 times cheaper.
Instead of 7 Rs. per unit, it should have been only 2 Rs. per unit at most, like they have in India.
[b]BENZ Bhutto is one of the biggest culprits, along with Nawaz Theif and almost all the politicians of Pakistan. [b] She allowed IPPs, which, started constructing OIL powered Electricity Generating Plants, and now, all of Pakistan is suffering, as OIL prices as fasts rising.
Hopefully, our Water Powered Dams are constructed, but it will take 10 YEARS, for most of them to be up and running, till then, we have to pay for Expensive Electricity and face water shortages, due to STUPID politicians, that opposed making of many Dams, specially KALABAGH Dam.
