Default Support Pakistani Companies for a BETTER Pakistan

FYI, currently Pakistanis have invested so much outside of Pakistan. In a latest Research, upto 20 BILLION US dollars by PAKISTANIS have been invested OUTSIDE of Pakistan, only due to Poor Political conditions in Pakistan. There are many, many extremely wealthy Pakistanis, living outside of Pakistan.

Adam Motors is a TEST.. for all Pakistanis. Those Living in Pakistan, if they are willing to support an entrepreneur, whom has lived for a long time in US, Feroz Khan, Owner and CEO of Adam Motors, and has good intention and good product line-up, starting with a REVO...

Other Pakistanis with good Experience in all the industries, aerospace, computers, electronics, banking, automobile, real estate, etc. living OUTSIDE of Pakistan are watching this company along with many other factors, developments in Pakistan very closely.

If this company succeeds, there will be alot of good developments in all the other areas, including Real Estate, better banking, hotel, tourism facilities, which all means good paying jobs and plenty of work for all the Pakistanis...

Just support Pakistan, support those who are doing something for Pakistan. We all can do our part in changing the Pakistan's current status of one of the poorest country of the world to atleast a Middle Income country. The per Capita income of avg. Pakistani is very low, $650 per Year, compared to over $5,000 for an avg. Malaysian which once were as poor as Pakistanis. Malaysians changed their countries fate, by investing in ENGINEERING sector, and buying Malaysian made products, now they make world class automobiles, cellphones, many electronics etc.

    Long live Pakistan,

    Adam Motors, Foreve

Right Said But the companies should try their best and try to suit the local markets as well. Lemm tell u example of Local Computer Assembler. They are just only ASSEMBLIng .. THey are not even making a single thing inside Pakistan. I will strongly disagree this and will go for any International Brand. but if they start building any thing in Pakistan i would go for it.. If we stickto them then why are we blaiming corolla and civics . I am sure Adam will replace it now. Datzburier. Are u agreed in Investing in Pakistan?
    my family can help u.

(Portage) Sohail bhai, EID Mubarak to you too. I did call brother, but I think your elder brother, Doctor Saleem picked up. I had a nice chat with him and told me that you were a Car nut.. LoL.. I confirmed,I also Mad about cars, thats what brings us all together at Pakwheels... He is a nice fella. Usually I have a picture of doctors being very uptight and snobby, but your brother is cool, he's down to earth, Masha Allah.

So, Enjoy your trip in Pakistan brother and will chat soon, when are you comming back to US.

At least u have accepted a part of reality. I hope you three are aware of concept of boom and recession. In a fair weather dont overemphasize on acheivements and second hand learning, coz Capitalism does have very brutal consequences. Whenever a better oppurtunity is available to these capitalists, they will move on, and this phenomenon has many precedents in history of nations. No capitalist will ever let another country stand parallel. So get prepared for an economic recession rather then dancing around

We got serious issues to solve here before we turn to paternalization and nationalistic sentiment to find justifications for supporting these projects. But this all too naive, for me at least.
Just look at the wider picture. Our banking system is a mess; you would not believe how hard it is to merely open a bank account in Pakistan now, let alone acquiring a LOAN to start a business- there are mountains to face, rather than hurdles, for the small, first-time enterpreneur with limited resources.
I can appreciate what someone like Feroz Khan is doing, to a certain extent, for the country, but let's be frank: he isn't doing us all a wonderful favour by producing setting up this Adam Motors Ltd. and producing the Revo, which all too many of us here at Pakwheels seem to adore beyond all belief.
Believe it or not (and yes, it's hard), we are indeed a capitalist economy, not a socialist one, and an inevitable product of the free market is the creation of extremes in wealth and social prosperity.
Business is there to make people MONEY, corporations are run the interests of their rantier SHAREHOLDERS, who reap the profits from dividends. Any business in the free-market system is a money-making vehicle for its enterpreneurs and creators, rather than an exercise in social utility and philanthropy.
The hard fact is that wealthy, NRPs and overseas Pakistanis returning and investing large amounts of money in the economy can only work to effectively widening this gap.
If you really want change, bring change in the political elite in our country, change the investment and enterprise climate, liberalize our banking laws and make Pakistan a country where EVERYONE- from the ordinary, hard-working Pakistani, to the wealthy foreign company, is able to reap the profits of its labour EQUALLY, with NO discrimination.
    Just my thoughts.

    @Aleem1...

There are many people who succeed as entrepreneurs and want to give back to their community. I am saddened at your sardonic views. I have had friends and strangers help me in times of need, as I have done for others as well. This is what forms the real circle of human faith.

    Believe in oneself.
If an entrpreneur invests in his people and they get more educated and thus more productive this makes the entrepreneur more money. If he is smart, he will reinvest significantly from his profits to elevate more of his employees and hire more people. This is like compounding interest.

In return for his contribution for every person he hires is one less potential person without a job and a new contributor to society and one less unemployed troublemaker who might riot. This new contributor elevates his children to aspire to higher goals. This is the real struggle of the TRUE entrepreneur.

Yes, there are many who only look at the short term and are greedy, but they will faulter in the end...it is inevitable. The truly inspired leader will give of himself to elevate his people and rejoice in their success.

Feroz Khan is one of those people. He is reinvesting every penny he has to the betterment of his staff. This will result in many downstream opportunities from a "Halo" effect throughout Pakistan.

There is no virtue in being poor. I hope, InshAllah, that Feroz Khan makes lots and lots of money. I say this because I have complete faith that a man like that really cares and will invest it in the right things wisely.

We can at least buy the pakistani products which are good like what if we buy haleeb or nurpur milk instead of milkpak? Nestle generates revenues in billions from pakistan, why not our companies?

This bold initiative of Feroze khan really reflects his strong nerves, his capabilities and his patriotism.
We must support this gentleman with every possible effort..May it be financing, may it be moral support, may it be advertisement, may it be even talking good about his company. This all will be in terms of support which we can do for our brother, then the day is not far enough when we'll purchase our home made vehicle with a sense of pride.
But the fact which Feroze Khan should not forget is the quality of his services, qaulity of his product and quality of effort he will deliver. Not like Suzuki people, which started their business, captured the market here and then raised the prices of that "Teen Dabba" type mahran to a limit.....( we all are aware of )
The objective I should dictate to Feroze Khan are..
    1.Best quality
    2.Lower prices
3.Provision of genuine spares in the
market by not allowing its number 2
    brands.
4.Use of international media for the
    pubilicity.
There is much more to say here but I conclude here leaving you to share.

This whole thing is very Simple...

Support Pakistani Companies for a Better Pakistan Tomorrow.

Support IMPORTED GOODS, for a Better
Japan, Korea, China, EUROPE, US, Tomorrow...

They only way a country becomes Well Off is by Exporting MORE and Importing LESS.

Till now we are doing the Opposite. We are Importing MORE and Exporting Very Little. The Net Deficit now has ballooned to 7 Billion Dollars in just 6 months, and probably will be 14 or 15 Billion Dollar by the end of this Fiscal Year in June-2006.

So, Look at these numbers CAREFULLY.

God, why don't they TEACH FINACE in Pakistani SCHOOLS, at Primary or High School Level.

Can not emphasize more how critical it is to EDUCATE the general public that, the way you generate jobs in any country is make the products yourself. If the country is not at that level, then and then you Import the Absolutely CRITICAL products, commodities.

Our situation is reverse here too, Pakistan is IMPORTING even basic food items, like edible OIL, and Wheat, and corn from other INDUSTRIALIZED countries, and we are an Agricultural agrarian economy.

This all needs to change. Farming needs to be mechanized, more tractor need to be built and sold to farmers at lower leasing rates.

Cars need to be built completely in Pakistan and be run on CNG to reduce the Machinery and OIL bill.

Who will do all this, government is not alone, people equally share the burden. If people keep demanding bigger, more expensive IMPORTED cars, the country will continue to suffer.

Look at Chinese, uptil 1980s, they were mostly going to work on BICYCLES and motorcycles, after they started building cars, they have generated a boom. They NEVER Imported FULLY Built UP cars, like we have been, uptil Suzuki came in. But that too is just an assembler and not a car manufacturer. The only Fully Pakistani Company with some hope for Pakistan's future is Adam Motors. They can revolutionize Pakistan's Auto Industry, if SUPPORTED whole heartedly.

Now the choice is your, Keep on Importing the cars, or help make Pakistan into a CAR EXPORTING country, and change the status of Pakistan from one of the POOREST nations of the world into one with flourishing industry and plenty of jobs for all, healthy and prosperous citizens.

Well guyz I think the only responsible thing to do will be to give priority to this matter on the agenda of islamabad meet on the 21st but yes people r coming there for cars, so not to bore them but this is imp isn't it. We can give it a start and then it can have a snowball effect...Think guyz think, we can initiate a change, all of the guyz here have a say in the community they belong to, so lets do something constructive along with sharing our passion for cars. And I'm not only talking about revo here, I'm talking about everything...

    @bilalahm.
Glad that you see through the message.

The saddest thing is that People in Pakistan DO NOT realize this, and only people speaking about this problem are living outside of Pakistan, since they have seen with their own eyes, how important it is to buy your own country's local products. In USA, they have products from all over the world, but MOST expesive items a person buys, is most likely American Made, but USA is different, Pakistan is not USA, it is still developing. Americans do not have to buy American made products, since AMERICA is SELLING most Expensive Products to rest of the World, like f-16s, and missile systems, and Electric Plant generating heavy Machinery worth Billions of Dollars, so, importing little things like CARS does not imbalance America, America is too complex, eventhough they are also in NET DEFICIT, mainly due to China and Japan, overflooding them, but US is way too strong to come under any threat. It controls the whole world's Banking system.

But anyway, for one of the poorest countries in the world, i.e. PAKISTAN, we need to EXPORT to survive, otherwise, we will never gain any RESPECTFUL status in the comity of nations, whole world considers us a JOKE and terrorist exporting country.

We need to wake up and improve the status of our nation.

Actually this thing was in my mind for so long. There was this professor in our university who came to deliver a lecture on some issue realted to this, he was based in Islamic university abroad(I don't remember indonesia or malaysia) and he had done very extensive research on this topic. He told us what wonders can be done if we just start not supporting the produts whoch are manufactured by companies supporting cause, he gave an example of something which occured in south africa, people of america pulled out their investments from there and the regime collapsed in no time. Well how can be so sure of failure if we don't even try?????
