Default Motownbhai, what you think car running on WATER.

A car running on Just Water.

This website was provided by 007 brother.

This is something interesting, I was wondering if this is real. The website is in German, but one article is in English, along with the Video.

Regular Toyota Corolla, with modified Water run engine.

Motownbhai what you think car running on WATER -468214

    Inventor Daniel Dingel from Phillipines.

Motownbhai what you think car running on WATER -468215

    Maker of water-powered car
    still fighting after 30 years
    By Joey G. Alarilla

    Zur Original-Seite

1969 was a landmark year for a number of reasons, including the conquest of space and cyberspace. Even as that year saw Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walking on the moon, so was the Internet born when its earliest incarnation, the United States Defense Department's Arpanet (Advanced Research Project Agency network), went online.

In the Philippines, 1969 was also the year that a Filipino inventor claims to have started tinkering with a revolutionary concept for the automotive industry. His idea: To power cars using hydrogen derived from ordinary water.

Today, 30 years later, inventor Daniel Dingel is driving around in the only water-powered car in the world, still complaining that Filipino government officials and scientists refuse to support his invention.

"They keep saying that the government is pro-poor, but what they do is sell off the resources and wealth of the Philippines. The government should really support the development of technology that would help the country pay its huge foreign debt," he said.

At the Inquirer parking lot last Tuesday, Dingel showed off his "concept car"- a red 16-valve Toyota Corolla with the small hydrogen reactor that he invented hooked up to its internal combustion engine (ICE). Dingel's hydrogen car has actually received media coverage since the late '80s or so, but to date his invention has not yet been patented and commercialized. Dingel attributed this to the influence of multinational companies, such as the oil companies. A conspiracy theory worthy of the X-Files, perhaps, but if Dingel's idea is real, then the truth is way out there.

    How it works

According to him, his reactor uses electricity from a 12-volt car battery to transform saltwater or ordinary tap water with salt into deuterium oxide or heavy water, which is chiefly used as a coolant for nuclear reactors. Deuterium is actually a hydrogen isotope with twice the mass of ordinary hydrogen, and heavy water is produced when the hydrogen atoms in H2O are replaced with deuterium.

"The electricity from the battery splits the water into its hydrogen and oxygen components, and this hydrogen can then be used to power the car engine. Normally it takes temperatures of about 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit to generate hydrogen from water, but here I am just using an ordinary 12-volt battery," he claimed.

Just how this kind of chemical reaction is possible using an ordinary car battery is, of course, the secret behind Dingel's invention--and the kind of claim that leads people to dismiss him as a crackpot and charlatan. In fact, while hydrogen is being touted as a viable alternative fuel in the US and other countries, these prototypes do not make use of ICEs but fuel cell engines, nor do they run on ordinary water but on liquid hydrogen.

For example, DaimlerChrysler unveiled in the US in March the hydrogen-powered NECAR 4 (New Electric Car), which is based on a Mercedes-Benz A-class compact car.

In these fuel cell cars, water is just a by-product of the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen ions, which produces the electricity to run the car's engine. In this sense, the fuel cell process is the reverse of Dingel's discovery. Also, Dingel claims that his reactor can work with any existing ICE-based car.

Dingel said some investors from Taiwan now plan to commercialize his car and help him get an international patent.

    Another invention

In the Philippines, Dingel also partners with Cobis Clean Cars for another invention that his hydrogen car showcases--the so-called electromagnetic fluid (EMF) treatment. While this might sound like something out of Voltes V, EMF was supposedly derived from such plants as okra, saluyot, ampalaya, langka, and water lily.

This treatment is supposed to improve a car engine's performance and oil life because it produces an "air magnet" to reduce friction to practically zero.

So, is this Filipino-invented hydrogen car for real, and will this idea soon drive the cars we're driving? That's the dream that Dingel has kept alive for 30 years.

Thanks Libra Bhai... It just seems unbelievable. Why haven't any Major Car makers taken this Guy, Daniel Dingel seriously, considering the fact that he had made this invention over 30 years ago. Is it due to strong Multinational OIL companies that do not want the people to get away from this dirty and polluting Fuel that they have been selling. Why... Why, US has no CNG running vehicles.. While being the most sophisticated, Technologically advance country. I researched a bit into CNG vehicles in US and cost of the KIT and conversion alone is as high as $5,000 that about 3 LAKH Pakistani, while in Pakistan you can convert in just Rupees 25,000. So, most in US don't go for it, due to High Cost of conversion, mainly due to Expesive labor, but also WHY do they have CNG KITS also EXTREMELY expensive here, the other thing and more important is SUPPLY of CNG, there aren't many CNG stations here. Maybe few dozen in California, by Private individuals. This is amazing. The politics is the main reason why, US and other world powers are not allowing any other ALTERNATE fuel to be widely available. These OIL companies owner like US president BUSH, and Vice President Chenny, owner of Haliburton, one of the Largest Petroleum related firm in the World, went to war in IRAQ, only due to securing OIL, there were no freaking Terrorists in IRAQ, we all know it. Sadam was crazy, but he killed far fewer peolpe than these OIL company executives chasing OIL.

Anyway, I don't want any US agency knocking on my doors again.. LoL...Thats another story.. I will share later.

    Its enough for now.

This invention is the greatest of this century but its true that no country would allow its production. (that's why this invention was not given popularity) as it will stop or cease the high Tax levis that governments of all the countries collect through fuel sale.

Here is a more clear shot of the Toyota Corolla. I had doubts about the speed this car can reach running on just water. But when I saw the Video I was amazed, this car had a nice pick and was cruising at fast speed, don't know exact speed.

Anyway, it mentions in the article that some Taiwani Group is seriously taking this guy and will further develop this technology. This Phillipine guy also made some type of lube oil that virtually eliminates the need to replace the oil in the car by creating some kind of Magnetic buble between the parts of engine which create most friction and hence the erosion of the engine components. Very ineteresting, and notice how his own government has betrayed him.

The car running for free, just on Water. This is still unbelievable to me. Why isn't there more promotion on this. Specially for a third world country like ours, which spends so much on importing Fuel every year, the biggest Burden on our economy currently is Fuel Imports. Seriously, if the general public knows about the viability of this kind of car, they will start rioting and demanding this kind technology in car to be introduced
    in Pakistan.

Alot of Business potential here, since everyone will be filling there cars with just water from their homes.

    Need to know more.

How long such a car can run on a full tank. 10 Gallons or 40 Liters of Water. How fast. How expensive is the kit. etc. etc.

The person who introduces this technology into Pakistan or any other country will be filthy rich overnight, if the production, and technical issues can be resolved.

I have heard of many advance techniques to run car on Hydrogen Fuel cell. But never on simple Sea WATER, and separate Hydrogen atoms from Oxygen, and use that Hydrogen to run a regular Petrol/Internal Combustion Engine, on that retrieved Hydrogen.

And those Hydrogen Fuel cell cars have engines that are very complex, and those cars cost in Millions. They have them in US for experiemental Basis, i.e. heard of a batch of BMW cars running on Hydrogen Fuel cell on experiemental basis. But forget the expensive cars, the Logistics involved behind shipping Hydrogen Fuel are very complicated as well, as Hydrogen is very volatile and can not be just transported around using the current network of OIL pipelines that are used in US now.

Don't know what this guy did, or how practical is this car, which such a simple appratus, as he shows in the pictures.

    Alot of doubts remain.

LoL Motown Bhai, I was highly suspicious of this as well. It takes alot of R&D into this Hydrogen Fuel thing, and one dude alone, it won't be possible.
