    BAR is now Mercedes GP, Jacques Villeneuve is rumoured to return to F1 this season. So my avatar is showing another example of bending the rules to that level where rules could be consider broken. BAR tries to use 2 separate liveries for their both drivers in 1999 but FIA stops that move by saying that such thing is illegal so BAR come up with this Combo Livery where they mix previous separate liveries into one.

    All this hype and talk about 2010, top drivers in potentially front line championship winning teams, Schumacher's return, the rivalries between teams and drivers to look forward to, could end up being exactly that, just talk! Too early to call but once that Red Bull car hits the tracks, all the excitement about 2010 could very well evaporate. They should start as clear favorites to win both titles, not just win but blitz the opposition. Last year they had the best car from the start, had it not been for that double diffuser and come the end of the season they had by far the most superior car. It could all be a big anti climax if Adrian Newey brings an evolution of last year's car and not repeat the things he did at Mclaren. The only question mark is over their drivers.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    No “equalising” of engines for 2010

    There will be no re-tuning of the engines competing in Formula 1 this season, after extensive discussions on ways of equalizing engines drew a blank. The Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault engines will all be as they were in 2009. The V8 engines in use in F1 at the moment are all frozen in specification, with no performance developments allowed. However manufacturers are allowed to request changes in the interests of reliability.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Alonso: Ferrari success may take time
    Fernando Alonso says that world titles are not immediately guaranteed despite his link-up with the Ferrari team. "It's not that easy. Michael Schumacher himself needed five years to win after joining Ferrari," Alonso told Spanish radio Onda Cero in an interview.

    Schumacher will be champion - Brawn
    Ross Brawn has tipped Michael Schumacher to become this year's world champion on his return to Formula 1 action.

    @UK
    You are right that RedBull could be the team to beat this season but RedBull chances depend on both drivers and Adrian Newey's Art. If they both acted the same way like last year I think RB6 could be the FW16 or MP4-4 of next decade. Otherwise the MP4-19 of last decade which have so many problems that in one race when Kimi's engine blow up he just put his hands on his head in most comical style possible.

    US F1 promises innovative car design<!-- end title -->
    Team US F1 has promised an innovative approach for the design of its first Formula 1 car, as the Charlotte-based operation edges closer its first test with the 2010 challenger.

    @UK
    Okay, Now its official this season should be named as Season of Returns. How many returns there are and still some more could happen. So Mr Junior is now going to ruin the endurance too. US F1 is promising innovative design what kind of may be after USA's successful pilotless drones destroying our homeland are they coming with driver less cars because they are the only team without any driver's confirmation.
    And sorry for wrong name mentioning in my previous post I was refering to FW14 the William's 1992 winner car not the FW16 which was related too Senna tragedy.

    Campos car passes final crash test
    Campos Meta 1's pre-season preparations received a boost on Tuesday when the team's Formula 1 car passed its final mandatory FIA crash test. The Spanish team's 2010 challenger is being developed by Italian constructor Dallara, and the progress on the technical front comes as the outfit closes on a financial deal that will secure its place on the grid.

    Ten facts about Pedro de la Rosa
    After seven years as McLaren's test driver, Pedro de la Rosa is making his return to Formula 1 racing with the BMW Sauber team.

    @genius83

    It indeed is a season of returns. I am waiting for Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell to make an announcment about their return. After all. these guys have been saying age is nothing but a number so why not have them back. Jacques Villeneuve is trying to get back too and let's hope some one gives Luca Badoer another chance
    I am sure every team is looking at each other wondering who it was that offered Piquet Jr a drive. Oh wait, it was in his dreams!! Unless Ferrari offered him the drive before signing Alonso, and Mercedes tried getting him before they had to settle for Schumacher. But Piquet Jr had achieved so much in life that he needed a new challenge
    Like you said, Newey can go crazy sometime. MP4-18 being the best example when Mclaren felt they needed not just the best car but by far a really superior car. I hope that's not the thinking at Red Bull.
    USF1 might be working on the lines you suggested, though Villeneuve is one name that i have heard in connection with them. The other car might be unmanned.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.
