    Hamilton not seeking Button's help

    Lewis Hamilton doesn’t believe his title push needs assistance from McLaren team-mate Jenson Button and reckons the only way they can realistically help each other's challenge is by both producing strong Brazilian Grand Prix performances.

    Alonso: Massa win would suit me fine

    Championship leader Fernando Alonso says another race-winning Interlagos performance from team-mate Felipe Massa would be welcome news for his own championship bid as it would hamper his rivals’ attempts at overhauling him.

    needless to say, all are great pics.. but isn't Bruno Ayrton's son ?? ..
    Dude, what are you on, and can i get some of it?

    So, Renault is now going for this light system and with the rumours of Kubica/Massa switch still circulating,

    hmm.. thanks for the info.. and i don't think KUB is moving to ferrari ... whats the news source??
    One of those rumors that refuse to die. Many people, including myself, would love for it to happen, but it looks very very very unlikely to happen next season or even after that. Kubica might have missed his chance for now. That team now revolves around one driver and Ferrari will not do anything to destabilize it i feel.
    And even if Massa has to be replaced, the perfect driver for Ferrari would be Heidfeld. Experienced, very good technically, fast but not fast enough, will bring the car home and pick up solid points for constructors championship, but wouldn't it be great to see Alonso-Kubica partnership

    I think Ayrton never married or may be never have any kids, I don't remember correctly
    Senna was married at a young age and got divorced at a young age too, before he made it into F1 i think.

    Kubica surprised Alonso is in front
    lolz.. and i agree when he says that RBR troubles has made this season interesting...
    Kubica is saying, in the hands of a half decent driver, never mind the best ones, Red Bull would have wrapped up the title by now And before the reliability thing is brought up, let me just say that a) All drivers have suffered this season for one reason or another, b) That's the way Newey designs his cars. They are very closely packaged and he gets the best out of everything. He makes fast but relatively unreliable cars. With bullet proof reliability the car might not be what it is. How many times has the Renault engine exploded on the Renault car this season? No many that i can think off.

    And yes, i find it very funny when i read comments and articles like the " greatest season ever " "one of the greatest seasons" etc etc. Just because there are three drivers, Alonso, Hamilton Webber, and three clowns fighting for the championship, it doesn't make it a vintage season. And it's only been interesting because of all the errors drivers and teams have made this year. Remove those errors for one driver, be it Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton, or Red Bull as a team, and there would be no championship to fight right now. It would have been over a long time ago.

    did anyone watch practice session ??... i 've heard that ALO stopped in the middle of the track .. rumors about engine problems are rife
    He stopped towards the end of short straight after the Senna " S" The engine had three laps more to do when it gave up it's ghost towards the end of free practice 1. I don't think there is an engine problem as such for now. As long as his engine does not let got early on in a practice session he should be okay.

    @genius83

    Great pics as always Steve<label for="rb_iconid_14">-Formula 1  - Season 2010 - - icon14</label>
    Yeah, you are spot on about Lotus trying the same with Bruno. That will eventually bring back Petrobras into F1 and the Senna name on a Lotus might attract more sponsors.

    p.s Last 8 pole sitters at interlagos have been either Brazilians or Spanish speaking drivers. Is that a sign?

    Forecast: Qualifying to be wet and a dry race expected on sunday
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Beats me... I'm also eager to know. He might pose a major threat for front runners due to lack of experience and ruthless attitude!

    ALO 5th, MASi 9th ... and ALO is behind all of his rivals.. where are the talks of MASi wining in front of his home crowd ?? ...

    Dude, what are you on, and can i get some of it?
    no can't, its the highest quality stuff .. or perhaps once u r back, we'll have it together at my party if ALO wins the WDC ... eddie the drug dealer will also be invited...

    would be great IF KUB joins ferrari but i would be sad to see KUB and ALO's in-team fighting/politics to dominate the team... HEI's would be better choice but MAS isn't bad either ...

    ya u r right about RBR's performance and ALO has had made his share of mistakes too (too many by his standard)... but i think, whats interesting is the RBR's 'philosophy' to support both drivers 'equally' that is making the scenario more interesting... had RBR given more trust and confidence to WEB, he would've been in better position than he's now..

    Button tells of his great escape
    Reigning world champion Jenson Button and his entourage have just arrived at the Interlagos circuit to tell the story of how they escaped machine gun wielding bandits last night.

    F1 drivers could lose racing licence for road offences

    The FIA General Assembly met today and voted through some important changes to the International Sporting Code.

    The most eye catching is that “the FIA is allowed to impose sanctions on Super Licence holders who commit road traffic offences.” This is in light of Lewis Hamilton’s so called “Hooning” incident in Melbourne this year. With the FIA on a course of ramming home its Make Roads Safe message, it needed to have a lever over the most visible and high profile drivers -those in F1 – with regard to their behaviour on the roads.

    The challenge of the start at Interlagos

    Everyone is talking about the start of this afternoon’s Grand Prix and how decisive it will be to the outcome of the race. There is even a sweepstake on what position Hulkenberg will be in at the end of lap one.

    @m_waqas
    I don't think those gunmen's were mobile snatchers because for mobile snatching one don't need machine guns.

    On a funny side, I think it was a warning by Hamilton's friends so that Button forget about his title chance and tries to help Hamilton in what ever way possible. Especially considering this incident happens after qualifying and Button have already gave a statement saying that because of his bad qualifying he is in no position to help Hamilton.
