I do not know for other cities, but in Islamabad, I have seen myself govt plate vehicles' drivers getting tickets. A senior police officer also told me that cops gave him a ticket for driving at 80 kmh in 70kmh zone and despite he was driving a green plate official police vehicle, he accepted the speed ticket because law was same for all citizens. Only President of Pakistan is immune from any sort of prosecution till he is in power.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

nobody is exempt from the laws of the country,.. they may get away a few times but eventually the law WILL catch up to them.

true but you for got the governors.

    Every govt car is challaned

if the traffic police guy does not have the...... then thats another story.

and as i think NO officer has that much time to argue or tell who he is so they mostly say dont waste my time hurry up.

mostly the drivers argue and stay there so some time they get away without a challan

so the botton line is it does not matter who is getting the challan but matter who is doing the challan

During my recent visit to dubai I saw a traffic shurta challan an other shurta for driving wrong way. Thats rule of law. But in Pakistan cops challan only poor motor cyclists for 40/50 Rupees. Have you ever seen cops challan a Prado, Range Rovers, or for that matter Civic, Corollas. Challan of a Govt. Vehicle by a cop, you are kidding man. Atleast not in Karachi which has one of the most corrupt traffic force.
