    toyopet...its szuberi...not szubari.

well..if its once every 30K, then it makes sense but my point in the post was..anyway you look at it..its a very expensive car to mantain...so the target is a just a few people..but its a pleasure to drive an audi.
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

Its funny how "Storm" thinks that the coming to Audi would mean end of Civics and Corollas.

Audi is there in the US market, isn't it? But guess what are the best selling cars in the US. Accord and Camry! Not an A4 or an A6.

German cars have good road feel---I used to own a 1998 BMW 540i. But they SUCK at reliability. Problems with power windows, catalytic converters, oxygen sensors are very common in the German world. And yes, even the BMW dealer could not fix the wobbling in my steering wheel at 45 mph once it got a year old.

And did you ever read teh reliabilty ratings of these cars? Toyota and Honda are in the top 10. While Audi, all the american crap, Volvos etc. are in teh bottom 10.

So are civics and corolla going to disappear once Audi arrives? Yeah right.

interesting discussion. German cars vs European cars arguement is always interesting. The reliability arguement in favour for japanese cars is a valid one. Though it falls flat on its face once the japanese car is assembled in pakistan. The only thing japanese cars have going for them is reliability and once u assemble them in pakistan u take that away....

VAG which produce Audis also own skoda and seat which would compete with toyota and honda. Audi would compete with Mercedes and BMW.

Having owned Japanese cars and currently owning a German an Italian I have to say if i wanted a commuting device a Japanese car makes sense....its like a household apliance....a washing machine/microwave -it does a job. If i want something more emotive....that makes me feel good every time I sit in it ...then it has to be an pedigree european!

If u want to get from point A to B with minimum fuss take a bus/train.

    @salmankhilji
We don't live in the US, so your statistis don't apply here like twisted2fit pointed out..

Please take the time to answer the following questions:

Q:is the best selling car in the US a mehran????

Q:would you like to take a guess at what the best selling car in pakistan is??

Q:is CNG the most commonly used (consumer) fuel in the US??

Q:would you like to take a guess what is the most used consumer fuel in pakistan?

I could go on like this all day, but at the end of the day buyers in PK would rather pay just a little bit more for something german over some 2nd rate jap cr*p which is assembled here, and i'm not talking about some 15 year olds going through a rough patch in their puberty, i'm talking about the real buyers (their fathers).
    1. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, 2. Resale wont save your life in an accident, 3. Genius has limits, stupidity has none, 4. Never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level & beat you with experience, 5. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young! 6. انّا للہ و انّا الیہ راجعون
