    Rossi breaks leg in Mugello practice crash
    Valentino Rossi will miss his home grand prix at Mugello after sustaining a fractured right shin bone in a violent crash in final practice this morning. The reigning champion, who had already been struggling with shoulder injuries following a motocross crash in April, had a high side at the Biondetti esses 15 minutes from the end of the session.

    Yamaha: 'No rush' to replace Rossi
    Lin Jarvis, Yamaha's motorsport director, says there will be no rush to replace its injured susperstar Valentino Rossi, who broke his right leg in practice at Mugello earlier today. Jarvis confirmed that Yamaha will continue to field a second works bike alongside championship leader Jorge Lorenzo, but not be drawn on who might ride it. Early speculation has linked Tech 3 Yamaha rider Colin Edwards to a return to the works team.

    Lorenzo: Title race has lost a 'big star'
    MotoGP points leader Jorge Lorenzo says his Yamaha team-mate, and title rival, Valentino Rossi's leg-breaking practice crash at Mugello this morning is a blow to the series. Lorenzo, who came to Mugello nine points ahead of seven-time champion Rossi, wished the Italian a swift recovery but admitted the landscape of the title battle had changed.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Pedrosa wary of Lorenzo's race pace<!-- end title -->
    Dani Pedrosa says that taking MotoGP pole position at Mugello is no guarantee that he will be able to turn it into a race-winning performance on Sunday.

    Stoner: We haven't turned corner yet
    Ducati star Casey Stoner has warned that Saturday's impressive qualifying performance at Mugello, where he will start round four of the MotoGP season from third on the grid, does not mean he has turned a corner in his troubled season.

    I think MotoGP season is over for me. How ironic this is just earlier today i posted another news piece in Rossi and MotoGP doctor Claudio Costa claims that his shoulder injuries are more serious then they think and now a shin bone fracture which means he will miss the race first time in his full MotoGP career and also atleast another 4 races will also been missed by him before his full recovery.

    I wish him to recover fully and come back to take the title, if not this season then next.

    Don't worry about that, and also don't think I will let other riders live happily because now I will watch even more closely so they will suffer especially Stoner and Lorenzo.

    @Steve

    Are you sure he is out for at least four races? In the past riders have gone racing with broken legs. Yeah, strange as it sounds that happens. I think he might be back earlier than that unless it's a very bad injury.

    Lorenzo would have preferred to win his first moto gp title by beating Rossi. This accident will take the shine off his championship especially if Rossi is out for four races.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    @UK
    I have read that in Autosport's news report, here is the relevant para:"
    Medical sources at Mugello have suggested that the normal recovery period for such an injury would be two months - but have pointed out that fellow riders Toni Elias and Max Sabbatani were able to ride again within 40 days following similar accidents. However even such a rapid recovery would potential rule Rossi out of at least four races."

    Also, this from PlanetF1 forum topic, one of the member have qouted Sky News report and it is Dr Claudio Costa's comments about the injury which are
    "Dr Claudio Costa of Clinica Mobile, MotoGP's travelling medical facility, later revealed that Rossi could be sidelined for up to three months by the injury, which he described as "very serious".

    "It's a more serious fracture than we expected," Costa told reporters.

    "It's a compound fracture which involves both the tibia and the fibula. I hope there are no complications It will be at least two or three months for him to recover. It's not the usual break of the bone, it's very serious.""

    So, it looks like to me that Rossi is out for atleast 2 months.

    I am really angry because of ESPN's MotoGP coverage they have not shown any of the qualifying session apart from RedBull's sponsored event of young talent.

    @m_waqas
    Well I would not say I am a superstitious person but rather I would say I am a frequent De ja vu person and things happen in front of my eyes before they happens in reality and then when they happens in reality I realise that I have seen that before.

    As for Lorenzo and Stoner, don't worry they don't need anyone's jinx they are used to do it themselves.

    Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
