    Default Wrong commitments/Deceit/Fraud by Honda Point, Main Defense Road

    Dear All,

    Just wanted to share a simple incident of how sales man at new car dealerships defraud customers into getting orders for new cars. Recently we had to buy a new Honda City Automatic and we decided to use Honda Point, Main Defense Road (bhutta chowk) as we had already gotten other cars from them in previous years.

    We made the booking by providing payorder on 30th March through sales man Mr. Ghulam Hassan with whom we had done business previously as well and he committed the car to be delivered on 28th April a month before the date being provided by factory and he convinced us of this date to get order.

    On 28th, he requested for a few more days and then after few days, he disappeared and did not pick up calls till he returned around 8th May claiming he was on Holiday and car is further delayed because of Honda factory shut down and some shortage of some kits, which I din't fully understand what he was talking.

    Around 14th May, I called again and he again requested for a few more days and promised me to send me official letter of factory shutdown and I gave him fax# but he din't fax again and today on 18th he is again not picking up calls.

    Motto:

    - Never trust sales man verbal commitments or infact anyone whom you don't know
    - Always have deadlines agreed in writing, since verbal commitments are easy to get away with.
    - Bad name for the company because of their one dealership/sales man

    The sad part is that the dealership/sales man just for one order lost the trust of a customer and many more because of me talking about it.

    Nothing yet , he hasn't even picked up calls today where as when we were in the process of placing an order he would pick it whenever we would call

    @doc ... definition of fraud is broad ... you commit something and don't deliver can very well be labeled as fraud

    u must take strict action against the g.m of that dealership.talk to him that y he had hired such employes,go in consumer court.be agressive,after u have given an amount

    dude goto dealer and lodge a complaint against that sales person, or if u want you can contact honda atlas and lodge a complaint against the dealer. their CRM dept is good & effective, my personal experience.

    car is further delayed because of Honda factory shut down
    this can be a genuine thing because in the news paper i saw toyota's apology for not meeting deadlines because their suppliers are not able to manufacture parts on time due to LOADSHEDDING.

    so maybe HONDA is suffering from the same problem.

    Ive got 3 Hondas with me, so wen u book a Honda or anyother car its booked on a payorder so the payment either goes to the company or goes no where.

    A proper invoice is made, and Honda sents you a letter confirming you the date of delivery of your car, and if your veihicle is already at the showroom u get it after the formalities.

    So leave the sales man aside, u should have your payorder slip, and atleast some recipt from the showroom for the payment recived. *(thats enough for legal action)
    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    Due to low sales Honda factory was some time back running only a week in a month, there were reports Civics facelift was delayed to clear out standing stocks and Honda has stoped production

    City and Civic about a month or 2 were avalible at zero premium but rumours say people are paying upto a 100,000 on Civic and upto 30k on Honda City.
    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    I have the copy of payorder, sales receipt and all ... that's the whole problem, factory delivery date was ahead of what the salesman promised to get the order and I believed in his words that the car *will* be delivered on 28th April though actual delivery date was different on actual receipt.

    What's the point of making false promises to customer ?

    ^And you trusted what the salesman said?
    No offence but I feel its your fault that you preffered the salesman deadline over the company deadline
    btw what was the date that the company promised?

    tis aint no fraud by the company or dealership, the sales guy just thought he d manage sumhow n get u the car before the company promised, u raised ur hopes so high. If the companys deadline is still to come, dnt panic boss.

    I think they only manufacture a handful of Automatic cars ... otherwise there are loads of em at each showroom
    I didn't choose vitz, vitz chose me!

    yar city ki production nai ho rahi ise tarah kro honda point jao aur iun say baat karo seriously agar wo apko gari dhtae hain tu achha warna booking cancel karow aur ja kar honda fort say lo wo apko dhi dae ghi kyua kay mae apni city ki service karwnae lay kar gya tha tu mae city dekhnae gya dealer say pocha kay city ise colour mae mil jaye gi wo kaeta sir gari ki production nahi ho rhi

    you are entitled to some compensation regardless of any excuses as long as you have written proof that he will guarantee the delivery on the 28th. without proof you cannot claim anything.
