Well may be a bit late but my 2cents are as follows....
- Buy a car that suits your requirements as well as your budget.
- Not every car is equipped to carry out every task.
- Each car has some limitations and some extraordinary capabilities
CRVs are good for CITY USE, very economic in fuel consumption, stylish & comfortable. Good for day to day running around. Off-road capabilities are limited. Can go to seaside / beach areas and thats it. Reasonable maintenance & Spares cost and resale value
The Prados are best for both ON-ROAD and OFF ROAD. Although a bit high on the fuel consumption but very powerful when it comes to off road capabilities. Seats 7 passengers so its good for long family weekend drives. Luxuriously crafted interior. Very low maintenance & spares and excellent resale value.
The Range Rovers and BMW X series are very high end SUVs. One should only buy them brand new with a service contract for atleast three years to cover the high maintenance cost it has.
I would only buy a Prado or Land Cruiser, it will perform well and will be easy to maintain / repair anywhere in Pakistan.
I currently drive a 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser and trust me the comfort / luxury is no way close to what i get in Prado.
All the best and hope this helps buddy.....
