    Default Petrol Pump Reviews

    Salam All;

    I have tried to search the forum for reviews and experiences regarding petrol pumps but I haven't found any - strange, isn't it?

    Let me start with my experience:

    Lahore:

    Frauds - Dirty Petrol
    PSO Pump near Faisal Town round about; he is a genuine thug! His petrol smells like crap and is sooooooo dirty! His CNG is crap loaded as well!

    PSO Pump Cavalry Ground (on right side if you go from Cavalry to Defense); my servant used to get petrol for generators, one day I sent him to get 10 liter petrol; and after that, I went there to get another 10 liter in an exact duplicate can. Both of the boxes had different levels! His CNG is crap loaded as well!

    Caltex Allah Hoo Chowk, Johar Town ... I tested his quantity ten years ago and they literally abused me for doing that ... never went there ever again!

    Good Experiences
    Total MM Alam Road
    Total Defense (Near Y Block)
    Total near shoukat khanum hospital (newly constructed)
    Caltex Maverick Faisal Town (before kootha pind) - I think maverick has one of the best CNG pumps in lahore; Their petrol is also good;

    Btw,Total on MM Alam road is company operated?

    Total MM Alam Road, Garden Town (ahead of KFC) and Garden Town (in front of PU grounds while going to faisal town) are legit and dont cheat.

    Shell Liberty are good but sometimes cheat and you have to be careful.

    Remember, always get the tank filled on 'auto' and dont let the operator 'pump' the handle. THe slower the auto the better.

    That station is company operated and whenever Im in Lahore we prefer that station
    Never had any complaints about it

    @topic well talking about Rawalpindi then my personal experience is that almost all the TOTAL (PARCO) pumps are offering better quality fuel
    though they charge 5~6 paisas more per litre than the official rate (freight charges) but their petrol is way better than other stations.

    salaam all:

    you really have to hunt for a good outlet, & this takes patience/time.
    here in isb all fuel outlets are more or less equally good or bad... caltex at super mkt/f-6 is being operated by the company & ok, behind it is shell/kohsar petrol station, ok too.

    i checked newly opened "total" outlet on 'ij-principal road/rwp' twice, once it had run out of fuel reserve & second time the power was out!

    Caltex Ghorra chown in LHR DHA is my regular pump. Good fuel quality and quantity.

    I have noticed something twice or thrice. Sometime the petrol pump trips during its operation and then the operator says that the reading will start from 0 again.

    Once the petrol pump tripped after filling fuel of approx 400 RS and the operator said that the reading will start from zero. I just took off my eyes from meter for a meter and the reading was saying that fuel of 470 RS approx has been filled. I argued with the operator how is it possible to fill this amount in just 10 seconds. anyhow they didn't admit it and then I never went again to that pump. This event took place at PSO Petrol Pump on Model Town Link Road.

    has anyone else noticed that also?

    thanks,

    the PSO in liberty (where the nozzles are coming down from the roof) is the biggest fraud in LHR. i once filled my car from there (paid around 6000) and by the time i got to the motorway exit walla PS i foudn that my needle had already moved.

    when i got the car refilled i ended up paying another 2500rs,.. after alot of inquiries from the owner of the PSO (motorway exit) we found out that the liberty guy had left the old reading when filling my car.

    it's also my fault for not checking the meter.

    In that case you would be pleased to note that this particular pump has been razed down by LDA because it did not conformed to by laws.

    my servant knew the whole plan - so I don think he can do something like this;

    In my office there is this guy who has a routine that he never gets petrol directly in his bike; he has got a 4 liter can and always get petrol for this bike in it; as per him; there are many pumps who have denied him.
