    Cool

Do you know how champions do their lap times?
ROS got out of the pit and tried to warm up his tyres and did a 1:16.
HAM had a same strategy and did a 1:17.
After their warm up laps, they went for the pole and ROS did 1:13.159 and HAM did 1:12.906.
And then the champion came in the ring with his bull and did a 1:12.268 straight out of the pits. And after his warm up, did a freakin' 1:11.918.
    Oh yess....he is that good.

And btw, he didnt even deliever his best sector in the last part of the circuit. He was down good two tenth of a second. Think what he could've done if he had not taken the last sector lightly.

Such a great season. I am not even 1% sad that VET didn't win.
He brought his sick car to the podium. What more could a fan ask of him.

It has been an incredible season and a pleasure to be with you guys here on the thread.
    Cheers.

I truly have my doubts about Austin 2012. If it happens through some miracle, it won't ever happen again. I don't think they'll have a problem getting fan support- usually inaugural races are big with everyone, so they'll sell tickets. But Bernie skims off every hope of Austin making any money on the race, so I doubt they'll be able to pay the rest of their bills, not to mention the astronomical cost of circuit construction.

I seriously hope it happens though. I'm prepared to drive 1000 miles to Texas if I get to roam around an F1 paddock.

just to create a bit controversy here, didn't anyone think that RBR did that on purpose,.. i mean to ask VET to slow down and let WEB pass in code words ('gearbox has problems') ,.. cause once RBR issued this info to VET, VET let WEB pass by getting aside but continued to follow him behind closely.

also VET was not switching gears quick enough b/w 2nd and 3rd gear as advised by RBR which was supposed to cause the problem, and continued to push both gears to full revs (as shown by speedometer on TV)

and when he was still close behind WEB, RBR issued another warning to VET that ('gearbox got Serious issues') and the gap b/w WEB and VET increased slightly ,..

i think RBR thought that it would have looked bad that WEB didn't win a single race whole year, compared to his Driver's Champion team mate ,..

now i know i m being paranoid here but things are falling in to place ,.. so just keep it fun, i think RBR did that on purpose ,..

ya same here (minus wins of VET ),.. great thread, and pleasure to be with you guys here on the thread.

But Bernie skims off every hope of Austin making any money on the race, so I doubt they'll be able to pay the rest of their bills, not to mention the astronomical cost of circuit construction.

I seriously hope it happens though. I'm prepared to drive 1000 miles to Texas if I get to roam around an F1 paddock.
i hope that happens too, especially after dropping out of Indianapolis (which was great track), i think there's a need to have an american gp in the calendar.

don't u think, if Indians can do it, why not Americans?

good point, those could have been code words, and they said the same twice to make it look normal.
The US GP as far as i'm concerned shouldn't take place, i know the Americans aren't really bad with the support but they don't do enough, they aren't that determined.... haven't you heard the comments the organizers made to Bernie about not agreeing to his "stupid" terms, if they aren't ready to give the huge amount for hosting the race why should they be given a race. all the other countries don't hesitate in the money!
I think the French GP, the Mexican GP to name a few should be given a chance 'cause no matter how good the circuit is designed by Tilke it just can't bring the vibe of old tracks like Spa, Monza, Silverstone!

    @m_waqas
I don't RedBull did this on purpose, the most simple reason is why would they try to do something like that when Team Orders are allowed and Legal. But if you want to go in more detail then Vettel was short shifting but not enough, still you can't say that he was revving in full in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Secondly this was a new gearbox so malfunction is more then likely possibility because in the early season Team Lotus have suffer a new gearbox failure and they are also using RedBull design gearboxes. At the end of the race, RedBull found that there was not much gearbox oil in the gearbox. They knows that the gearbox is loosing oil but to find out that the gearbox is almost empty makes them baffled that how did Vettel finish the race.

If you are expecting Vettel to slow down to such level that the gap between him and Alonso and Button would be minimum then it was not possible as he was trying to help Webber by maintaining the rear gunner role to make the maximum effort of Webber getting 2nd in the Driver's standings. Although those efforts doesnot result as Button finished 3rd behind Vettel but still its worth trying to help Webber. He was putting fast laps not because he was going any fast but because the fuel levels are coming down.

Well its a great news that Kimi is back. It's always great to see him on grid. He's the only driver which I think can even make HRT win I think it all about him because of his Passion

I hope n pray that Kimi, Kobica ( if returns), Rosberg & Schumi get competitve cars too. If this happens we'll have a hell of a season in 2012.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
