    Are they showing live world cup matches or recordings of old matches on these 2 StarSports channels. Because if they are showing live worldcup matches then you can be sure that they will show the qualifying and race on these channels, otherwise not.

    The 107% qualifying time is about 6 secs behind the provisional pole sitter for Q1.

    Formula 1 season guide 2011

    HRT still sand bagging! It was nice to see the car on track after Liuzzi had a problem so early on in the session with his gearbox.

    Vettel and Red Bull went through another front wing in this session. Clearly something is wrong with the left side of that wing, flexing too much Nevermind, we will still smoke em all.

    Rubens missed most of the session with a gearbox oil leak, while at Ferrari, Massa's onboard camera came off which got in the way of his option tire run. Ferrari still very casual about things as Alonso seemed content running in the top ten. Nothing so far this season has suggested that Renault is quicker than Ferrari, so wonder how much they are holding back.

    It was hard for commentators towards the end to tell which cars were on primes and which on options. Yet another big thank you to Pirelli

    @genius83

    Thanks for posting the time. I believe all teams will be allowed to take part in the race, even HRT. Those outside the 107% rule willl be allowed to start from the pitlane. One wonders what the point is of having a rule if no one is going to follow it, especially having looked at how that HRT car was going on track. It did one lap and i think it got in the way of four cars on that one lap alone.

    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    @UK
    HRT is better then Andrea Moda as they have a car which can run, now we have to see whether they are better then Forti Ford and MasterCard Lola.

    As for the 107% rule, I think they will certainly apply it may be just for this race to tell these 2 teams Virgins and HRTs that they have to make there cars better. HRT have a big problem too, there 2011 spec front wings fail the crash tests and they have to use 2010 spec front wings. Certainly the difference between 2 may not be a big one but it could still be enough that hurts them.

    107% rule would not applied if we have a wet qualifying session.

    About RedBull there are 2 things that should been considered, with Ferrari holding there pace and McLaren trying to gain confidence from their fans by showing pace. RedBull also have done something which should be concerned many, their best time came on Soft compound but that was more or less like a qualifying style run, their second best time came on Hard compound and even that was faster then McLarens.

    @genius83

    I heard the 107% exception being applied for this race and possibly the next one too from David Croft. I was lucky to find the Radio 5 live feed. I would be happy if they apply the rule because what's the point of having it if exceptions are going to be made especially in the case of HRT and to some extent Virgin too. It's not like these teams are in their first year. No excuse really.

    Ferrari holding back is only a guess at this point in time. Maybe they don`t have the pace to challenge at the front and Mclaren got the one second they said they would with their new floor and exhaust, but Renault, that too Petrov Plus Alonso has been operating a strange strategy these two days, with couple of minutes left when every one came out for a last run, he was comfortably sitting in the garage. He either has it completely under control or knows he can't do anything about it. But if the car was that great you would expect Massa to be some where near the front too, which he is not.

    As for Mclaren, yes their fastest time on options was still slower than Red Bull's time on primes so that says all that needs to be said about Red Bull's speed. Hard to see anyone challenging the Bulls for the front row unless we go back to the Ferrari sand bagging conspiracy

    One more thing, Ferrari and Mercedes have a different system to activate the DRS, a foot pedal on the left side. You read anything about that? Again my source is Crofty.

    All will be revealed in the next hour and 10 minutes
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    KERS failed on Mclaren of Hamilton i believe on his last run or he could have been closer. On the other hand, Vettel didn't bother using KERS at all! That is the superiority of Red Bull. Most time lost to Vettel in the last sector, especially the last four corners.

    Mclaren look good, they are very experienced at winning races and championships compared to Red Bull. It could be an interesting race if the tires become an issue and a strategic call needs to be made.

    Ferrari, interesting. Only thing i can think off, the unusually low track and air temperature, and they just seemed to struggle getting the tires up to operating temperature as Massa showed, spinning just as he came out of the pits

    At Mercedes, Schumacher is saying they were very confident coming into the race and need to look at the data to see where that performance went. He has at least Ross Brawn in his corner and he starts 11th, so he can start on any tires.

    @BlackEye117

    Paula is doing what????? new born baby, Steve, what have you done mate?? No wonder Paula said she won't be here for qualifying. Our Steve has become a father!!

    Hey, thanks for confirming that query about Ferrari and Mercedes DRS system.

    Massa is just a piece of sh*t.. he is not a true F1 driver at all.. i think he should drive a taxi instead of F1 car, i really hate him so much, he is sinking the name of Ferrari!!!

    yes hamilton has done a very decent job today, very nice indeed!
    his teammate also done a good job..

    Nick H. really disappoint me, i want some shoot out from him but he... Damn!

    @UK
    I also have heard the same and that too on commentary from the mouth of legendary SteveSlater, who most likely heard it from David Croft.

    One thing to acknowledge is how Sauber and STR have performed in the qualifying session, also its been awhile since we have seen such massive gaps between #1 and #10, it is like from 2004 and 2005 season.

    For me the best moment was Sutil's 360 or 720 deg. spin on the pitstraight, as it shows the dangers of DRS quite visibly. He deploys the DRS coming out of the corner, lost downforce goes on the grass and lost the car completely altogether. He was lucky that he don't end up hitting the pitwall otherwise a Red Flag was imminent.

    Also, no one mentions that Melbourne have a new pitlane which is more straight then last year, as there is a new pit building for the Aussie V8 Supercars.

    @UmairMasood
    I don't think Kubica could make a comeback just because Heidfeld has not performed as expected. Kubica is not out of F1 for fun, he has to recover from serious injuries first before thinking of making a return.

    @alliereyaz
    I know that StarSports will show the race, but the problem for me was the channel was not showing at my side and there was black screen with a blue notice that the current channel is not allowed in your area. Which certainly was been put by the StarSports admins rather then by my cable operator.

    Congratulations for Hamilton's good performance.

    @saad02
    KERS and DRS are standard as per regulations but optional. Standard in the meaning that they have to work in a predefined manner like 80HP from KERS and application of DRS at a designated section during the race. Optional in the sense that its up to teams to decide whether they want to use these or not. Like Team Lotus, Virgin and HRT are not having KERS.

    @Paula
    Congratulations for the baby, but why the hell I was not notified about that.
