    Default Agricultral Wheels.

    Fellows,

Starting this thread with a different type of automotive field called slow earth moving matchines.

I am neither a mechanic nor an engineer but have a deep interest in farm equipments and so because i am involved with this field.

I would not claim," I know every thing relating to this field" but as a process of learning we do here at PW,it would be a beneficial effort.

So here in pakistan we have some well known brands of tractors like,

    Massey Ferguson, England.

    Models starting from;

    MF X35 1960 TO 1965
    MF 165 1964 TO 1975
    MF 135 1964 TO 1975
    MF 210 1978 TO 1984
MF 240 1980 TO 1999 FOR ENGLAND AND 2010 STILL IN PRODUCTION FOR PAKISTAN.
    MF 265 1975 TO 1983
    MF 285 1974 TO 1982 FAMOUS IRANIAN
    MF 290 1983 TO 1986
    MF 375 1986 TO 1997
    MF375E 2002 TO 2005
    MF375S 2005 TO 2010
    MF 385 1998 TO 2010
    MF 385 2004 TO 2010 4X4
    MF 260 2002 TO 2010 TURBO
    MF 350 2009 TO 2010

    Nice thread bro.
Every time i usually come across a tractor i wonder is their any upgrades to it?I mean the pics u posted seems like tractors from WW1.Very veryyyyyy outdated shape.whereas, gora's have some very interesting and up-to-date models.Y can't we have such models here in PAK?
Qaiser Pal,I have not failed. But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them, confuse them

West rely on machines for cultivation because man labour is expensive there in pakistan it is not cost effective......the price of crops which farmer gets is less than half what you pay at mundi........ To give an example china lemon which is available at 30/kg at metro is bought in some area like faisalabad at 10 rupees per 5kg .......wheat which is currently being sold at 1000 rupees per 40 kg is most of time bought from farmer at 850 to900 rupees per kg even i know farmers who sold it for 800 rupee during cutting season ......... small farmers donot get any thing its middle man who mints most of profit...........about 70% farmers cannot even buy these old tractors what to talk of fancy machines of west ........in 2006 tractor was costing 365000 which is now costing 565000......Food security should be our main concern considering our population

    This is our hard luck.

I would tell you this automobile is mostly used by our villagers and you know our urban area's literacy very well.

I have seen thousands of local villagers depending alot alot on mechanics, what they say formers do.Out of 1000 farm equipment mechanisc you will hardly find 20 educated dimploma holders atleast.Whenever a new innovative machine has arrived in a workshop in pakistan, mechanics due to thier illiteracy always have pretended it as a faluire before our general public relating to the farms ultimately a general concept regarding a machine becoms hindrance in its popularity and wast distribution.

A major example can be given with DEWAN'S EURO LEOPARD.There are several sales points all over pakistan and a wast advertisment have nothing to do with its sales.

Default Wonderful Thread - Introducing German Tractor – UNIMOG

UNIMOGs are in abundance in Pakistan, but lack of knowledge is resulting in cut & melt down of these wonderful machines. German came with the concept of machine which can do all the jobs done by tractor and should also be able to move with some descent speed on & off the road, so they came up withi UNIMOG which is still giving the services as tractor in Germany, rest of the world is using it for 4x4 excursion, expedition, military, rail pulling.... Its a Man's best friend

It has amazing pulling power, giving a simple example of Sugarcane Season it can literally pull a trolley and reach destination in quarter of the time consumes by a regular tractor, the solution is in-expensive!

Some more of the Massey Ferguson models are always a part of pakistani automobile but are rear.

    Among those,

    MF 210.
