    @m_waqas
No bro, F1 season is not comparable with MotoGP season because in F1 season we have teams who are updating their cars on regular basis, FIA intervenes by bringing engine mapping rule to make the championship interesting and also the season was quite different before the summer break. But its the after the break on tracks where RedBull was thought to struggle and they have dominated which made the season looks boring and onesided.

Just tell me, if Spa and Monza are dominated by McLaren and Ferrari would we have the same standings in the championship or quite a different looking standings.

However, in MotoGP myself and @UK have predicted at the season start that this championship is Stoner and Honda's to loose because all the other manufacturers were involved in developing in Next Generation of MotoGP Bike which will debut next season. Injuries to Pedrosa and Lorenzo have not helped it either. Simoncelli was involved in many crashes in the early season while Ducati and Rossi have not clicked at all.

It is amazing that the defending champion and his team was not making any efforts to make the championship interesting and neither FIM intervenes with any mid-season rule changes at all.

With all the advantage in the world at his side it took him 16 races to win the championship, it speaks volume about Stoner's talent then anything else. On the other hand, Vettel also takes 15 races to retain the title but he was looking like a champion at the time of season break after Hungarian GP which was 11th race of the season.

Even I would say forget F1 just look at the standings in Moto2 and 125cc, in both the classes the championship is not decided yet, may be 125cc title could be decided today but Moto2 title most likely goes to the last race and amazingly Marquez was not able to score points in the first 3 races at all but in the 4th race he won and from then on he has won 7 races and in the last race he just make a miraculous recovery after starting from last on the grid and making it to the podium on 3rd while Bradl finished 2nd.

I am rooting for Marquez to win the title this season because it would be really brilliant effort if he did that.

Malaysian GP cancelled after the crash. No news about marco's condition till now.

Motorsports is going through a bad time.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

this is with very heavy heart that i m posting this news that Simoncelli passed away today in Malaysian Gp after his accident with Rossi and Edwards.

Marco Simoncelli dies after crash in Sepang

Marco Simoncelli has died after a horrific crash at the Malaysian MotoGP in Sepang, says BBC.
The Malaysian MotoGP was halted four minutes after the race began Sunday when Honda rider Simoncelli fell and was hit by Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi.

The 24-year-old Simoncelli had his helmet knocked off in the accident, which occurred when the Italian lowsided from his bike at Turn 11.

His bike veered across the track and straight into the path of Edwards and Rossi. The race was immediately red-flagged.

Simoncelli, who was motionless on the track after the impact, had been fourth at the end of lap one.
Edwards also fell but escaped serious injury, while Rossi, on a Ducati, was able to return to the pits.

this is very very very sad news.. i was watching it live on TenSports and just on second lap he crashed with ROS and EDW.

race was immediately red flagged and after a while race was cancelled. i just can believe this.

my thoughts are with his family and friends,.. he was just 24 years old.

Simoncelli crash halts Malaysian Grand Prix
The Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang has been red flagged after an accident involving Gresini Honda's Marco Simoncelli.

    Malaysian GP cancelled after crash
The Malaysian Grand Prix has been cancelled after an accident involving Gresini Honda's Marco Simoncelli.

    Tributes paid to Marco Simoncelli
Leading figures from the worlds of both motorcycle and car racing have been paying tribute to Marco Simoncelli, who was killed today in MotoGP's Malaysian Grand Prix. The 24-year-old Italian, who had been the sensation of the 2011 season, fell on lap two of the Sepang race and was struck by following riders. He was pronounced dead at the circuit's medical centre shortly afterwards.

    Nicky Hayden, Ducati MotoGP rider

"Sometimes life just don't make sense... RIP #58, you were a star on and off track. We are all going to miss you."

    Suzuki MotoGP team

"All at Rizla Suzuki are deeply affected by today's tragic events and send their deepest condolences to Marco's family and friends during this time of great loss."

Mark Webber, Red Bull Formula 1 driver

"RIP Marco. A special talent that will be missed... Thinking of your loved ones, and all the MotoGP paddock."

    Chaz Davies, World Supersport champion

"RIP Marco. Our sport has lost a great rider and all round great guy. My thoughts are with his family. I was fortunate enough to be team-mate to Marco in 2002. He was a genuinely fun guy and taught me my first unrepeatable Italian!"

Taka Horio - General Manager, Bridgestone Motorsport Department

"Today we are left devastated. Our thoughts and prayers are with Marco's family at this terrible, terrible time, and with his team. Words can do no justice to the emotion we are all feeling. The MotoGP family has lost one of its bright stars, a genuine character whose larger-than-life persona, charisma and unstoppable spirit were infectious, and we've all lost a great friend. We worked closely with Marco for his first two years in MotoGP and it was clear that he was a true racer, something he proved again and again this season. Determined to the end, and a great showman. His ascent through the field in just two seasons has been fantastic to watch, testament to his raw talent, ability and dedication to the sport he so loved. We remember fondly the tenacity and spirit with which he raced, and he will be sorely, sorely missed."

Malcolm Wilson, Ford World Rally team boss

"Today has obviously been overshadowed by the tragic death of Marco Simoncelli in the MotoGP race in Malaysia. Marco visited M-Sport just a few weeks ago to test a Fiesta RS WRC. His enthusiasm and delight at being in the car were clear for all to see and we are all extremely saddened at the news. Our sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues."

    MotoGP

"MotoGP extends its deepest condolences to Marco's family, friends and team at this tragic loss."

    Williams Formula 1 team

"Thoughts with Marco Simoncelli's family and friends today after the MotoGP rider succumbed to his injuries after terrible crash this morning."

Heikki Kovalainen, Lotus Formula 1 driver

"I can't believe MotoGP star Simoncelli has died in a crash, another great talent lost today."

Karun Chandhok, Lotus Formula 1 reserve driver

"What a horrible week for our sport... Just heard Marco Simoncelli has been killed at the MotoGP race today... Huge talent - big loss to MotoGP."

    HRC Honda

"Devastated and heartbroken. Thank you for all your kind words."

Cal Crutchlow, Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP rider

"RIP Marco Simoncelli! A great rider and all round nice guy. My thoughts are with all his family and friends. I
    will never forget today."

    Tommy Hill, British Superbike champion

"So, so sad! Absolutely terrible and heartbreaking when this happens in our sport! All my regards to Marco Simoncelli's family and close friends."

    Yamaha

"Rest In Peace Sic... our thoughts are with your family and team. A tragedy."

    R.I.P Marco.
My condolences to his family, friends and team members. As soon as I saw the crash I know it is not a pretty sight.

I have to applaud the decision to cancel the race by FIM because last season after Shoya Tomizawa's crash FIM decided to carry on with the race which was criticized by all the motogp fans across the world.

Also, Mark Webber's words from his BBC column is hammering my head that he prefers F1 over MotoGP and IndyCar because F1 is safe, in last 2 weeks we 2 fatalities in Indy and MotoGP and I am starting to fear about F1 next week.

I was thinking the same but didn't post some how.

I made a condolence thread for Marco but isn't yet approved by admins to be public.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

Simoncelli died of multiple injuries, the circuit's medical director reports
Marco Simoncelli died as a result of massive trauma to his head, neck and chest, MotoGP's medical director has confirmed.

    @zia1288
Bro, where have you made the condolence thread, is it in PW Condolence section, if yes then I would suggest you should drop that and create a thread in Spotted/Crashed section posting the video of the incident just like Dan Wheldon condolence thread is present their.

    @Air_explorer
I don't think this would be counted as reckless driving, it was rather unfortunate circumstances just like last year's Shoya Tomizawa's Fatal Crash.

R.I.P. It's strange how the bike slid across the track like that, it almost seemed like he had passed out as his body was motionless.

    MotoGP
Davide Brivio plays down talk Valentino Rossi could retire over Marco Simoncelli's death
Davide Brivio has dismissed rumours that Valentino Rossi could retire from MotoGP in the wake of the accident that killed his close friend Marco Simoncelli at Sepang on Sunday.

I can't believe newspapers would fall to such low level like today's Jang got the story of Simoncelli's death and the pic they have put with it is the worst possible they could find, as it is most likely the time when Marco suffers the serious injury which led to his death. Very bad Journalism by Jang.

I was wrong Dawn and The News news reports about the crash are even worse, I seriously not expects this sort of journalism by both the top level of newspapers group in Pakistan. A real Thumbs down for their pathetic reporting standards.
