Daewoo went bankrupt and it was bought by General motors.

If you know General Motors, they have owned other premium brands around the world such as :

    1> Opel in Germany
    2> Holden in Australia
    3> Vauxhall in UK
4> Saab in Sweden ( now sold to Spyker )
    5> Daewoo in S.Korea

Now, this Cruze is the first true GLOBAL effort from General Motors around the world. Cruze is a cruze in North America, Australia, Europe, Asia, South America and so on.(61 countries all together)

Last month Cruze(was #1 in sales) beat Corolla and Civc in USA by a considerable margin. The real players in the compact segment are now Chev Cruze, Ford Focus and Hyundai Elantra.

So, the engineering, design and execution has been a global collaboration to break the backs of Corolla and Civic sales. There are more than 4 million miles of testing done on the Cruze world wide!!

Cruze is the biggest of all compact and has the quietest interior.

In Europe Union, the crash testing department had to re draw the rules since, the Cruze had trumped all possible scores in being the most safest car they have EVER tested.

In India, Australia, Canada and others it was voted as the car of the year!

Corolla and civics are THE most outdated cars period.

Cruze Eco 1400cc Turbo (non Hybrid, no battries) model in Canada is rated for 4.6L/100kms that is almost 21KMS per LITER!!

People, all I ask from you humbly is not to trash a car without any research!

The only Way Chevrolet can make this a better vehicle for Pakistan is by offering a Turbo 1.4L. The added cost of the car might be compensated by the less import duty due to smaller engine size. Thank you and good night

In the United States, the Cruze received the highest possible ratings of "good" in front, side, rear and rollover crash protection tests by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which has recognized the Cruze as a 2011 Top Safety Pick.[34] Moreover, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the Cruze its highest five-star rating for safety. The score is broken down into maximum five-star results for frontal impact (driver and passenger), side impact (driver and passenger), and for the side pole test (driver). The NHTSA certified the Cruze's rollover rating at four out of five stars.[35]

    Very useful information
