The car is parked for long now, as he got official transport. It is used only at the weekend for very short trip.

Regarding LPG, one of my relatives has one LPG shop in Sheikhupura. Rate was Rs. 95/Kg there. But in Isb, they charge too much (don't know the current per KG rate).

Anyways, would have given LPG a try, had it been a daily commuter. Now will get the cylinder filled and park it again

US crude settled down at a six-year low of $43.88 a barrel after tumbling to $42.85 earlier in Monday's session.

Brent oil fell nearly 3 percent on Monday and U.S. crude hit six-year lows on signs of higher output in the United States and Libya and a possible nuclear deal that could end sanctions for Iran, allowing more of its oil into the market.
A market data provider estimated a fresh build of more than 3 million barrels at the Cushing, Oklahoma delivery point for U.S. crude futures last week, traders said, adding to worries that stockpiles in the United States could hit record highs for a tenth straight week.

The prices are expected to remain at the current level for longer period now. A slight variation in international market will be covered by increase/decrease in taxes by our govt (last time when prices went up in international market, they lowered the tax from 27% to 18%, if the prices go down, they'll increase the tax again)

If the petrol will reduce 50 to 60 per litre it's better and enough. There is no need use CNG. Should government can chance ?

Default First Qatar LNG shipment reaches Karachi port

KARACHI: A shipment of 147,000 cubic feet of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Qatar arrived at the Karachi anchorage today in a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU).
The FSRU, after going through clearance, is expected to dock at Engro Corporation's Elengy Terminal Pakistan Limited (ETPL), where the cargo will undergo 'regasification' before being injected into the Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL) network.
The FSRU will take approximately five hours to reach the terminal, and will begin offloading the cargo at 6:30pm this evening, an official said.
The SSGCL is then required to transfer it to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) at the Zamzama-Sawan gas establishment.
The LNG will initially be provided to four Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in Punjab, including Kot Addu Power Company (Kapco).
In the second phase of the operation, fuel will be used for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and in the third, it will be supplied to the fertiliser sector.
Subsequent shipments of LNG will be transported in Qatargas' Q-Flex carrier.
Confusion persists over the liquefied natural gas (LNG) deal with Qatar as the government has not yet disclosed the per MMBTU price of gas.
Under the $22 billion reported deal, Qatar agreed to supply 500 million cubic feet of LNG per day for 15 years. However, there was no official word on LNG deal and details about the rate of the purchase and sale price.

Concerns over the specifications of the terminal were raised by Qatargas with the Port Qasim Authorities (PQA) at a meeting on March 9. Qatargas officials said a series of steps were required to be completed by PQA ?as soon as possible in order for the terminal to be accessible?.
The terminal required additional dredging in order to facilitate the Q-Flex carrier. The ongoing modifications are not going to hamper the transfer of the first shipment of LNG to the Elengy terminal.
Modifications at the terminal are underway and are expected to be complete within the next few days.
Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to reach Karachi by tonight, and will visit Port Qasim tomorrow.

Price for Petrol is under revision ( expected to be reduced Rs.2.56 / litre ) for implementation from April 01 2015, hope this will not be a Grand Official joke. if this happens, the CNG will be at higher price compared to petrol

The first massive increase in petrol prices came during the Gulf War in early 1990s despite Pakistan contributed troops to the war named Gulf Storm.

Now Saudis have launched a war on Yemen and asking Pakistan again to contribute troops. I expect a huge increase in oil price.

The next major jump in Pakistani prices will probably come from currency devaluation. not a jump in the international oil price.

As per the news article posted above, no share for CNG sector in first shipment.

If they restore CNG from national supply, it won't be more than 2 days a week, i guess...

sir the gulf war oil price 1992 was nothing as compared to oil price increase from 1980 till 85. so many times in history the oil prices have raised above the 30 US$ mark
