then faiz cng it is for tonight!
I got 14.68l filled from faiz CNG at 200 pressure.
Then near my home, i went to khattak cng in G9 I&T centre. He quoted 2000 for converting the car to back on CNG and 4500 extra if you want to get complete kit serviced. He said that lng causes problem etc etc but I don't believe him. So without any negotiations i left because the price he quoted is exceptionally high and totally unjustifiable.
The work required is to re-connect the cng wiring, remove silicone from airbox and put venturi back in, tune the kit (which i can do myself as well) and that's all.
Then i went to G10 I&T centre, there was this tariq khattak cng, he quoted rs 600 and finally 500 for the job. He told me to come tomorrow as it was getting late and he was busy. Should i get the work done from him or should i find someone else?
His price seems reasonable but i wonder if he is good at it or not (though its no rocket science to peel of the tape, remove the wires from ecu and join the ones from emulator/advancer, install venturi and good to go)
500 is fine yar.
U wld pay him when car is switched to cng so y worry
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....
Well i did all this by my self. Easy DIY.
Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go.
I got cng re-fitted cylinder, kit, venturi and coil (replaced coil due to fault) all in 800 Labor + 600 for coil).. Perfect working CNG pick is not that good maybe due to low quality CNG available.
Mechanic (Naeem Khattak, Adiala Road, Near Maani CNG)
Can anyone provide the complete list of CNG pumps operational in ISB and RWP! That would be helpful.
Guys I filled the CNG day before yesterday from Safari Villas PSO Pump near Bahria Town. I first went to my mechanic to check my car if there is anything to be done as I'd be filling it after ages, he just plugged in the plugs taken out about 07 months back and said ke aap gas bharwa kar aao, rpm setting kardoonga. So I filled the Cng from the above stated station for 820rs, rate was 57.15. I wasn't able to check the pressure as I was sitting in the car. Anyhow drove it for last two days and it completely went out after driving on complete AC at 146km. So for me average on CNG turns out to be Rs. 5.6 per km whereas I was getting 6.6 on petrol. So its just a saving of 1rs per km comparing with petrol on AC. I had to do nothing of the service sort, rpm was 700 on AC. My car is Honda City 2001 EXIS Automatic. My running in whole month comes to 1500-2000km so in the end if I opt for CNG all the way as their isn't rush of any kind at pump for filling, I'd be saving 1500-2000rs. Now I am confused, to what to do. It ain't cheap or anything but still saving 2000 bucks a month is something, guide me!!!
I got cng wiring back from tariq khattak g10. He is a nice guy, at first there was a CEL so he said that advancer is faulty but i told him that last time it was working perfectly. So he opened the wiring again and swapped the wires for MAP and the light went off. Guess he forgot the colour of wires
Anyway drive is fine right now. and i cant feel any difference in this RLNG... I am guess first cylinder won't give much mileage but i will keep filling it and tuning it until i find the best spot.
Btw my car has clocked 113k kms and he recommended me to change the timing belt.
it will cost around 10k with bearing, belt alone would be 3-5k, bearing costs around 7-8k
