@vaqas,
for that 1800 kms on CNG, please count in the "available power" maintenance add-on and time wastage too. In my books if a machine is serviceable without glitch for a cost of slight expense - Its good.
Now @ Rs 62/- for CNG you cannot ensure it will actually be available at that rate - You have to wait for hours on end to get your "ration" of CNG. Combine that with the usual cars going to CNG mechanic/ radiator wash/ suspension work or inspection etc every month to spend Rs 2000/~ approx in addition to keep it on the road,
With that same sort of expense you can invest that time elsewhere and have a more brighter look at more important matters than CNG hartaal.
@chaudry - The reason CNG conversions were done in Hiaces have many factors, chief being that their old diesel engines had no mechanics to tend them, Hammer, chisel workings, lathe machine chumpeeon ustaad, deezal nauzal sarviss near the Rwp railways is not a replacement for correct procedure and genuine parts.
For them - they will try to save even 10 paisa and not care about safety, reliability or even axle load - I dont consider them to be counted as they are cheats, thieves and dacoits of the worst kind. - Your best examples are the CO2 and O2 cylinders being used for CNG.
