ISLAMABAD: It is likely that the ongoing CNG crisis will end soon as a significant progress has taken place in talks between the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and CNG Association (CNGA) in Islamabad today, SAMAA reported on Thursday.
The OGRA has finalized initial proposals over new price formula of the CNG for Region-1 and 2 after latest meeting with the CNG Association this day.
According to new CNG price formula, Rs. 74 per kilogram will be charged in Region-1 and Rs. 65 per kilogram in Region-2. CNG station owners’ all production charges and power charges have been included in this new price limit.
The CNG station owners will get Rs. 7.90 per kg as production cost, Rs. 7.21 per kg as power charges and Rs. 3.42 per kg as profit in new formula of CNG prices.
The government will receive Rs. 13.25 per kilogram as Infrastructure Development charges and Rs. 9.18 per kilogram as GST under new CNG price formula.
After receiving federal government policy line over new price formula, new prices of CNG will be finalized, informed the OGRA sources. SAMAA
