I learned from office people who use public transport that the vehicles plying in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and also the entire inter-city transport used to go to Haripur daily to fill CNG. Now CNG in KP is also suspended but for some days or weeks may be.

    No, its not.
Running factories and transportation is more necessary than being cozy at home.
The inflation is directly proportional to transportation charges.
When transportation charges increase, the price of every item increases.
Plus a lot of people will become jobless when the factories close.

I completely agree with you.Last time I went to Pakistan in winter, there wasn't any gas for domestic use but cng was available except day or two a week and 90% of people I met were saying govt should stop cng so at least they can have gas at home. Now all of these guys either had own transport or were using public transport, and they were ready to pay extra in fares or in petrol.will this decision make them guys happy or not, that's the reason I asked
About factories you are spot on, there should be a exception for businesses.Business sector is already on last breaths because of energy crises.

On my Alto VXR. Previously it was doing 8-9km/l only but then i stopped using CNG a month back n got it tuned fully on petrol the average improved to 12km/l. Now removed CNG kit n cylinder from the car to get rid of extra load. Lets c how much difference it makes in addition to the luggage space in the trunk

Sind and KP produce more natural gas than the provincial demands so is Baluchistan, only Punjab produce the least amount of natural gas so CNG may survive in three provinces.

As of yesterday buses plying between Islamabad and Sialkot were filling up from Haripur (KP)

Punjab is the agricultural and industrial hub of the country.. Kind of stupid to take away a resource from it yet other provinces have it..

Punjab is 60% of Pakistan's population. provincial inter dependence should act as bondage for this nation not divide. no one can survive independently. each province depends on the other. if natural resources are abundant in one area of the country then the other produces most of the food. if we understand this there would never an ethnic divide amongst us. everyone is imp and makes the overall fabric of the country strong! no punjabi , sindhi, balochi, pathan, Kashmiri for me just PAKISTANI ! we should broaden the way we think and become just PAKISTANIS for a change! think out of the box! ! if this isnt being applied at the national level then its a shame it isnt.

It is indeed a shame. I really hate it when someone specifically asks "You Punjabi/Pathan? Etc"

This divide has been breaking us for a long time now.

If anyone wants to understand how distribution of natural resources in Pakistan's federal system works after 18th Constitutional Amendment, please download and read this report.
