    You are wrong bro, Vettel never react like Hamilton in situations like yesterday, his only wrong reaction was Turkish GP 2010 other wise he always remains and shows a good and sober attitude.

    Question

    Who was your driver of the day

    Jenson Button got the better of his McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton in an entertaining season opening grand prix at Albert Park, Melbourne in Australia but who was your driver of the day?

    i voted for BUT despite having ALO and Kimi in the list.. honestly, BUT was in class of his own,.

    Alonso's save highlights Massa's plight

    Race day did not match expectations for the Ferrari team in Australia – it exceeded them. Fernando Alonso’s fifth place finish – essentially the position his Ferrari was in for much of last season in qualifying – was a very strong result from 12th on the grid. It is fair to say that the lowly grid slot was due to Alonso spinning off the track in Part 2 of Qualifying and he would probably have been more like seventh or eighth on the grid in a clean session.

    But Alonso’s result also put the spotlight on his team mate’s difficulties this weekend. Felipe Massa had a nightmare weekend of uncompetitiveness, retiring from 13th place after a collision with Bruno Senna. “It couldn’t have gone any worse,” he told the Italian media after the race.

    Webber buoyed by recovery to fourth in the Australian GP
    Mark Webber says his recovery to fourth place in the Australian Grand Prix gives him confidence that Red Bull is in good shape this year, despite losing out to McLaren in the fight for victory.

    @m_waqas
    Nope, not fan boys but people who have seen and identify the difference between idiots and gracious in defeat. Just to be more precise, Hamilton lost the 2nd place because of his own team strategy of calling both the drivers in the same lap a mistake which I have previously criticized when Ferrari did it in Singapore GP 2008 and also on other occassions too.

    All the people are saying that Vettel was lucky because of Safety Car and I am quite sure that Safety Car have hurt Vettel more then any other driver because Vettel's tyres were not showing signs of any excessive wear and he could easily done some quick laps as the leader of the pack without Safety Car period to create a bit more gap so that when he goes for his pitstop he could possibly have some advantage over Hamilton and also could challenge Button.

    Safety Car intervention made RedBull to change the strategy altogether to call him in on that very lap.

    I need a bit of clarification. What ended up being the problem with McLaren boxing both Button and Hamilton in the same lap? Can't quite remember.

    Kimi Raikkonen sets sights on Sepang podium for Lotus
    Kimi Raikkonen has set his sights on fighting for a podium finish in this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.

    @Bilaltq
    Time was the problem, by calling both in at the same time they handed the lead to Vettel, the safety car came out seconds after they both left the pit box while Vettel was already ahead out of First sector.

    Safety Car deployment means all the cars have to travel in a slow speed, Vettel have the advantage over both McLarens and could travel slowly back to the pits without losing much time. He returns to the pit take his new tyres and goes back out taking the 2nd place from Hamilton and just behind Button.

    If McLaren have not call Hamilton in the box on the same lap as Button, Hamilton would be leading the race when Safety Car came out and could easily goes to pits just like Vettel did and would come out ahead of Vettel maintaining his advantage that he has before the safety car.

    Just to be clear the difference between Vettel and Hamilton before pitting was about 1.5secs while the difference between Hamilton and Button was about 10 secs. Vettel gains 11 secs on that very lap when he pits and came out behind Button considering the mandatory gap between cars behind Safety Car. If we assume that Vettel was cutting the gap between himself and Hamilton 0.2 secs every lap then why would any one thought that Vettel was lucky with the safety car because he still could take the lead over Hamilton without the safety car intervention.

    Vettel would be considered lucky if he takes lead over Button because of safety car which does not happens and so saying Vettel was lucky with the safety car is not a valid argument.
