    Dude theyre pretty much the same, only difference is that the GLi comes with power windows, power side view mirrors, metallic colours, rear seat belts, and a high mount stop lamp. Engine wise, both are powered by the nippy 2NZ-FE. Plus waiting time on the GLi is lesser than compared with the XLi. Check out www.toyota-indus.com/corolla for more info.

    Yes man, i found out that information on the weblink as well.
    The toyota website, mentioned by you, only displays information and images of Toyota Corolla Altis.

    I just need to see couple of more images of Toyota GLI as my brother and I are going through a dilemma of buying either Honda City or Toyota GLI.

    Comments (Positive and Negative) on both of the cars will be helpful.

    Thanks a lot for your reply!

    All new Corollas incl Altis come in same body shell.

    The only difference is that Altis has side skirts, while Xli/GLi are without skirts, withoug ABS.

    Xli only comes in black and whilte colors.

    @umertahir

    bro if u ask ME, i wud go for neither of them. why dont u go for a Hona EXi which comes with power features as standard. u wud pay 970000 for a Gli whereas by only puttin 40 thousand more, u can go for an Exi. and civic doesnt have that ON money as well, which for corolla is. and i tell u that the finishin of a civic is WAY better than that of an Indus Gli...and civic is a far better interior than the Gli...so trust me...go for a civic and u wont regret

    (i intentionally didnt mention the poor brakes of corolla here as we already have LOADS of forums abt it already)

    regards

    Go for 1.3 city , 8 lak 40k. Most leg space , biggest boot , and good suspension and excellent mileage . The least waiting time.
    Looks have improved since Honda changed the lights , front grill e . I guess the corolla is better looking. City has better interior.
    8lak 80k for XLi (without power windows , central locking , only black or white) . Wait 6mths.
    9lak 70k for Gli with almost same features as City. So u pay 1 lak for nothing. Handling /brakes of City better even though gli has 4 disc s.
    Exi u cant book anymore - i think.
    The only thing abt Corolla is tht it has amazing resale - even if u sell Xli after a few years u prbly wont lose a penny.but if u want to enjoy driving then ... CITY!

    @umertahir

    well dude..personally i think that xli/gli has better looks..better engines..better resale..and gives u feeling of a LARGE car.....

    so far as i think...honda cars like civic and city have better driving experince........

    so choice is yours......usually people go for corolla cause of its grt resale...but recent models of corolla have grt engines as well......

    Man go for Suzuki Liana LXI or RXI CNG, the all specification of a Saloon , it had came to end city and Toyota XLI,GLI which has got the worst brakes, body and suspension, if more than 4 people siting in the car your car will be falling from bckwards, its AC also did not work well in summers due to its least horsepower and dark colour, city is better than Toyota but if you need a luxurious car on 1300cc with having power windows,mirrors, central locking a great Mp3 player deck with have 4 exicting speakersand a grat luxurious interior,so it has got the specfition of VTI as well as toyota Saloon , Liana is not 1300 but 1366cc and having the most horsepower 1300cc car in Pakistan,so go for Liana and after one year its prices will increaseto 50 thousand , it has has got the same resale as toyota. so why not Liana? FOR MORE INFORMATION SEE THE BROSHER OF LIANA IN PAKWHHEELS?
    LXI : 8,59,000
    RXI: 8,49,000
    Because I also have City and Liana.

    Rolla still maintains that agressive look, something the City and the Liana both lack. Liana is a rip off of the 2003 Civic, front lights anyway, rear is an unimpressive copy of the C180 1998! Although it has all the accessories which supercede those of the XLi(not GLi), and the City, at the end of the day its a Suzuki, so dont expect "unmatched" performance and comfort. This is a little too late guys, Suzuki has been bombarding us with low quality junk for decades now, Honda has always maintained its standard, Toyota, on and off! Its your choice, but my vote goes for the GLi or the Vario, the latter for comfort and the former performance/resale based! Good luck

    Liana has some great features but even then theres just something about it tht feels "junky".
    City , Corolla are both more comfortable . The Liana hasn't got a good response yet , even though price is low.
    Starts at 7lak94k. Petrol , full options.
