    Default Every thing about tyres

I am starting this new thread because many of my friends don't like my replies. They think that i am someone on the pay roll of Michelin or may be i am some tyre seller. I don't have any monitory interest in recommending Michelin to others. I am Michelin lover and my replies are due to my experience of life spent in different continents and countries. If any body need any suggestion about tyres i will love to reply your queries. DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY.

I've seen 03 types of Pirelli in market, one of them is chinese. What would be downside of getting Chinese Pirelli for any sedan. Should I get them, reason if you say no

If you are satisfied with the OE tyres size and performance of General tyres then keep on using them. No need to upgrade to other brands.

It is difficult to differentiate between official and smuggled tyres. Some companies like Michelin, Bridgestone and few others paste warranty stickers on the tyre packing which differentiate official tyres from smuggled tyres. The only pros of smuggled tyre is its price, cons of smuggled tyres is change in DOt of tyres, the way they are carried into Pakistan.

Michelin is the only company in the world which confirm the same standard of quality where ever it produces tyres. Other companies quality varies with the origin and their price too. Its better to get European Pirelli then chinese.

Dunlop products imported/Smuggled into Pakistan are of low quality. usually most of the tyres got problems in their mid life. For Michelin dealer info please visit www.facebook.com/michelinpakistan.

    Hi freeadvisor.
I'm facing an issue regarding tyres of my car. I'm running 205/60/r15 on honda city 2010. Brand is Dunlop sp sport 490.
The problem is. There is too much wheel spin in first gear. Tyres are only hardly 6-7 months old and mileage on tyres is around 20k.
    What should I do?

Check your Inflation pressure is it correct or you may reduce it little bit . Sp 490 has grip issue as well. In first gear try to avoid extra acceleration.

Try getting Yokohama Advan DB's far superior and is available in Islamabad (not recently in Karachi).

    Thanks.
You have the misfortune to have a car with the metric wheels, long since dumped by car manufacturers. Most owners with metric-wheeled buy a set of imperial wheels on the internet, because metric tyres are very expensive, and also very hard to get hold of.

390mm = 15 1/2 " approx, so no imperial size tyre is going to fit your rims, you need to change the wheels, probably to 16".
By the way which car do you have.
