    Default Every thing about tyres

I am starting this new thread because many of my friends don't like my replies. They think that i am someone on the pay roll of Michelin or may be i am some tyre seller. I don't have any monitory interest in recommending Michelin to others. I am Michelin lover and my replies are due to my experience of life spent in different continents and countries. If any body need any suggestion about tyres i will love to reply your queries. DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY.

It is better to go to 205/65 it is 2.5% larger and with 215/65 you will exceed 4.5% from oe.

You recommended 195/60R14 MICHELIN XM2 ENERGY, but then you said that by using 60series there will be better control, BUT REDUCED COMFORT AND MORE BURDEN ON SUSPENSION, this seems a very negative reason to go for this tyre. Please explain

My answer has two parts first one is about the recommendation about tyre for that I recommended you XM2 Energy.
The second one about size i.e better to remain on 65 series.
XM2 energy is available in all sizes.

Final conclusion is that, in order to get maximum fuel saving + good comfort and safety for suspension, then for GLI 2011 i should go for 195/65R15 MICHELIN XM2 ENERGY (R15 means 15inches tyres and since stock tyres are 15inches in GLI 2011, therefore i think 15 would be suitable size) or do u advise any other size

Atlast i bought Yokohama DNA db Decibel ES501 185/65/R14 from Asad Tyres Saddar Rawalpindi Who is the Yokohama Authorised Dealer of Rawalpindi for Yokohama.

The Manufacturing date is (3612) which means its MFG date is Sep 2012

Asad Tyres is the only shop in Saddar who is having the Freshest Stock of 2012 of all tyres. After alot alot search i found that shop.

Visited 7 Shops today and every one was having the Stock of Nov 2011 and saying that these are of 2012.I asked them am i blind i cant see the MFG date he said you can roundabout the MFG date it is of 2012.

Brothers BEWARE of FAKE tyres in Dunlop and Yokohama.Dont go for Low price tyres in these brands.Because Asad Tyres Manager told me that some shops are selling 2010,2011 Tyre Stock by Tempering the MFG Dates to 2012 Stock Dates. Also ask him for Warranty.I got 1 Year Warranty of Cracks,Tyre Swelling,Rotation Cracks.

Also Check that the tyres are Made (in) Japan not Made (by) Japan

Asad Tyre Guys did Wheel Balancing and Installed new Nozzels for Free.

He gave me the quotation as below.

Yokohama DNA db Decibel ES501 185/65/R14 = Rs 7000 Made in Japan
Yokohama C drive 185/65/R14 = Rs 6800 Made in Japan
Yokohama A drive 185/65/R14 = Rs 6500 Made in Japan
Yokohama S drive 185/65/R14 = Rs 5800 Made in Japan

And i given mine tyres for Rs 3000 as they were in a bad condition.

Like If you want to Thank Me.

    Thank You,
    Nehman Khalil

Every thing about tyres - DNA " Ultimate Silence "

YOKOHAMA established the new category, “Silent Tyre” in the market with “ASPEC dB” in 1999. As the new upgraded member of “dB” family, YOKOHAMA introduces the Ultimate Silence, “DNA dB ES501”. A tyre worthy of its name.

5-pitch variation Based on YOKOHAMA’s latest technology, blocks in 5 different sizes are arranged to reduce pattern noise. In addition, these pitches are offset and reduces noise more effectively.

4 wide straight grooves Four wide straight grooves achieve larger groove ratio providing excellent water drainage.

Round sipes Round sipes deliver edge effect and improve performance on wet surface. Its round shape avoids from generating noise.

Variable combination sipes Variable combination sipes divides rib in 144 blocks. Through its small blocks, impact noise of the blocks is reduced.

Recently 2 - 3 weeks before i got Spacers installed in my Liana FF CNG to raise its height but the problem is that comfort is gone, and on speedbreaker when rear wheels drive off.( A feeling comes that one tire is touching the speedbreaker before and the other afterwards).

Also one side is up than the other side.
Left side is up than the right side very Slight difference should i get them checked or this is Ok after installing Spacers.

Because the shocks repaired are in warranty.
