    Default Honda Motors Oil

    Pls inform which Oil & Oil Filter Honda Motors use at their Service centre.

    I called their I-10 service centre they told me they are using Honda Mobile Oil.

    They didn't disclose tha name/brand of Oil & Oil Filter ?

    AOA, as per my knowledge the oil Honda uses is the BEST Caltex oil which costs around Rs 900/- +. Apparently this is a customer friendly policy of Honda cuz Honda is providing same oil in Rs 550/-.

    its Caltex supreme 5 star oil, discarded and no longer in production by Caltex themselves...in other words its plain crap..

    my advice:
    OIL: Zic A+ 10w30
    Filter : Original Honda Filter Made in Japan (for Rs 200/-)...u have to look hard for the filter but its not impossible...the guard filter honda pak provides rs 130-rs 140 so better spend few $$$$ more...
    sent from my HD2 without using the handset itself!!

    @saraj
    whicha honda are we talking about here?
    Oil used at honda is formulated by Caltex for them. Its grade is 10W-40 i guess and its different then Havoline. Its adviseable to use HOnda oil. Maybe it is a btter formulation

    These are just business tactics encashing brand names! That's why each day different unique things are sold in the market like CNG Oil, Toyota Motor Oil, Honda Motor Oil etc....., may be they are packaging the open oil in them.......

    I few weeks back I checked engine oil at Honda Pit Shop in Aabpara. It was 10W-30, API SL (90% sure). The person I talked to didn't know if it is mineral or not.

    can any one of you guys check the honda's user manual to see what is recommended from the factory? u can also check the oil suggested on the oil cap on the valve cover of you car.

    From what i know...most honda vehicles use 5w30...

    Honda owners please do check with Honda service centers. Now I am doubt if 10W-30 is correct . I just went over there to see which oil they use. I don't have a Honda car. I apologize if my information was wrong.
