    Default Imported Oils & Prices

    Brothers,

Yesterday I went to Filter house who are the keeper of import oils also (:: Filters House Solve your All Filteration Problems Lahore Pakistan ::)
Filter House has opened its 5th outlet in Lahore right on the Ferozepur road in front of Qaddafi Stadium and right adjacent to Hamid Latif Hospital & Taj Mahel Banquet Hall.

Presently the oil 5/40 (which I am already using in my Passo and repeatedly accepting in my all posts that its very good oil) is gaining the popularity in the Pak. market.
This oil is neither as thinner like ZIC A+ 5/20, nor very thick like 15/40 or 20/50.
This is most perfect oil for Pak. and every company has introduced the same and its getting popular by hot cakes. Almost every company has introduced this oil 5/40 and I am happy that I was the first one who used it and my try was super satisfactory.

    Rates are as follows

Liqui Moly 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 5500/4L
10~12K Mileage for big engines (2000CC or above) but only 7~8K Mileage for 1000~1300CC engines.

    Mobil1 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 4800/4L
10K Mileage for big engines but only 6~7K Mileage for small engines.

    Volvoline 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 4600/4L
10K for big engines but only 6~7K for small engines.

PTT Performa 0/40 Super Synthetic Rs. 3800/4L (Best oil according to my personal ranking)
10~12K for big engines but only 6K for small engines.

ZIC XQ 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 3600/4L
10K for big engines but only 8K for small engines.

KIXX 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 3550/4L (Actually this is not fully synthetic oil)
10K for big engines but only 6~7K for small engines.

KIXX 5/40 Semi Synthetic Tin Pack Rs. 3500/4L (Caltex got Kixx's distribution in Pak.)
8K for big engines but only 5K for small engines.

PTT Performa 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 3200/4L (this one is also semi synthetic, but very very good oil)
8K for big engines but only 5~6K for small engines.

ZIC OW 5/30 Semi Synthetic Rs. 2800/4L
10K for big engines but only 6K for small engines.

    NEWS

Caltex has taken the distribution of Korean oil KIXX. Hence Caltex will import KIXX oil but will pack them by themselves here and will print "Made in Korea". Means again un-certain condition about the Quality.

But presently in order to beat Toyota's Tin pack oils, Caltex has imported KIXX's Tin pack oil with some new given name technology and trying to sell it.

Mobil1 is being distributed by MAL, printing on bottles as "Made in USA & packed in Singapore". But very high doubts. Because its being re-pack here in Pakistan by MAL.

Liqui MOLY, still trying to find out that either its being directly imported from Germany or some local agency has its distribution/re-packing. Am still working on it.
    No Guts, No Glory.

But next time, 10K for sure, but both filters change after 5K.
    I personally prefer LM 5/40 than mobil1.
LM 5/40 grade oil name is "SYNTHOIL HI-TECH". PART NO. 2194. bottle is deep Purple color.
The more important reason to drain engine oil while hot is because it dissolves all the carbon and soot deposites and it flows out easily, leaving behind a cleaner engine.

You can find made in singapore total oil too.. local is different

Are you into the oil industry as well? seem very interested in engine oil

And what are your views on sucking the oil out using a pump? i've read on this forum that some fuel pumps do have these dingies.

am not in oil biz. But keeping bit of informmarions as interest. My brother runs an oil change shop.

The oil sucking technique was basically for boats or very few old cars who dont have oil drain valve. But here many people using it as fashion or attraction.

The best way is to change the oil through its drain valve only when engine is hot or very hot. In this way almost almost all the oil comes out.

its driven over 110k, hence low viscos oils will never do better.
    My suggestion goes to

    no. 1
    LM molygen 5/50

    no. 2
    10/40 viscosity.
    Available options could be
    mos2
    ptt 10/40
    kixx g1 (10/40)

keep max. change interval as its 6k for molygen and mos2
and 4k for ptt or g1

if I have same car/situation as yours, I should certainly give a try to molygen 5/50.
Its very first fully synthetic oil that has came with higher viscosity as 50. So i will highly suggest for it for all the engines that are driven over 100k

Default Liqui Moly Molygen SAE 5W-50 engine oil......commment plz

AoA All friends, after searching on the net i have come to the conclusion that Liqui Moly Molygen SAE 5W-50 engine oil is presently the best available. u can drive u 1500 cc vehicle for 10k KM.....its green in color.
Can any one guide me from where i can get it in Rawalpindi / ISlamabad are...its suggested cost is Rs4600 for 4 lt
It is a specially developed high-performance, low-friction engine oil for year-round use. The combination of synthetic base oils and advanced additive technology as well as the special Molygen additive ensures that the engine oil is of low viscosity and has a high shear stability and reliably prevents the formation of deposits, significantly reducing frictional losses in the engine and providing the optimum protection from wear. This results in savings in fuel and an extended service life for the engine.

if the shell helix ultra 5w40 is cheaper than the LM molygen 5w50 - its a no questions asked better choice. With the cars being mentioned here the 5w30 would also work perfectly
