    Default Imported Oils & Prices

    Brothers,

Yesterday I went to Filter house who are the keeper of import oils also (:: Filters House Solve your All Filteration Problems Lahore Pakistan ::)
Filter House has opened its 5th outlet in Lahore right on the Ferozepur road in front of Qaddafi Stadium and right adjacent to Hamid Latif Hospital & Taj Mahel Banquet Hall.

Presently the oil 5/40 (which I am already using in my Passo and repeatedly accepting in my all posts that its very good oil) is gaining the popularity in the Pak. market.
This oil is neither as thinner like ZIC A+ 5/20, nor very thick like 15/40 or 20/50.
This is most perfect oil for Pak. and every company has introduced the same and its getting popular by hot cakes. Almost every company has introduced this oil 5/40 and I am happy that I was the first one who used it and my try was super satisfactory.

    Rates are as follows

Liqui Moly 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 5500/4L
10~12K Mileage for big engines (2000CC or above) but only 7~8K Mileage for 1000~1300CC engines.

    Mobil1 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 4800/4L
10K Mileage for big engines but only 6~7K Mileage for small engines.

    Volvoline 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 4600/4L
10K for big engines but only 6~7K for small engines.

PTT Performa 0/40 Super Synthetic Rs. 3800/4L (Best oil according to my personal ranking)
10~12K for big engines but only 6K for small engines.

ZIC XQ 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 3600/4L
10K for big engines but only 8K for small engines.

KIXX 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 3550/4L (Actually this is not fully synthetic oil)
10K for big engines but only 6~7K for small engines.

KIXX 5/40 Semi Synthetic Tin Pack Rs. 3500/4L (Caltex got Kixx's distribution in Pak.)
8K for big engines but only 5K for small engines.

PTT Performa 5/40 Synthetic Rs. 3200/4L (this one is also semi synthetic, but very very good oil)
8K for big engines but only 5~6K for small engines.

ZIC OW 5/30 Semi Synthetic Rs. 2800/4L
10K for big engines but only 6K for small engines.

    NEWS

Caltex has taken the distribution of Korean oil KIXX. Hence Caltex will import KIXX oil but will pack them by themselves here and will print "Made in Korea". Means again un-certain condition about the Quality.

But presently in order to beat Toyota's Tin pack oils, Caltex has imported KIXX's Tin pack oil with some new given name technology and trying to sell it.

Mobil1 is being distributed by MAL, printing on bottles as "Made in USA & packed in Singapore". But very high doubts. Because its being re-pack here in Pakistan by MAL.

Liqui MOLY, still trying to find out that either its being directly imported from Germany or some local agency has its distribution/re-packing. Am still working on it.
    No Guts, No Glory.

well, my studies reflect that you are already using the best grade of Zic's oil for Diesel engines. But its also true that even far better oils are still available that can be expected to bring excellent results.

Corolla, 2.0, Disel, 120K Driven, Using ZIC 5000 10/40 API CI-4/SL with change interval as 5K, want to change oil because need improvement.
Hmm... well the oil that you are using is not synthetic actually. Its mineral oil. Bottle says its with Synthetic formula, but its just marketing tool.

Well, now if you want to keep using the mineral oil, then the best available option is
Liqui Moly 20/50 "Diesel Specialist". Red color bottle. Change interval is 5~6K. Price is Rs. 600/liter.

And if want to go for Fully Synthetic oils, then Liqui Moly 5/50 Molygen would be the best. Price is 1190/liter. And recommended mileage is 8~10K.
Before putting this suggestion, I've already get it confirmed that this Molygen oil is for both Gassoline & Diesel Engines. It has contents that significantly reduce friction and wear. This oil has the classification API SJ / CF so it?s suitable for all gasoline & diesel cars where API SJ performance level is sufficient.
Change it when the engine is very hot so that previous oil can drain very well.
Using first time Molygen may cannot produce extra ordinary results. But 2nd time, you will really enjoy it for sure.

Final choice will be yours. Either Mineral or Fully Synthetic.

    1. LIQUI MOLY 10W40 MoS2
    2. LIQUI MOLY Synthoil 5W40
    3. LIQUI MOLY Molygen 5W50

Currently i am using 10W40 Mos2 as to your suggestion

you are already feeding the good engine oil. keep it up. But choose the good petrol pump for top up.
Now as far as your question is concern.

    No. 1 is Synthoil 5/40
    No. 2 is Molygen 5/50
    No. 3 is MOS2 10/40

Because Molygen's additive is the latest one and MOS2 is now old.
When your next oil change is due, you can prefer Molygen 5/50. It will bring even better results than mos2.

mos2 is semi synthetic oil. While molygen is fully synthetic. If you are already consuming mos2, my suggestion would be to run it for 5-6k and for the mext time, use molygen. Or if possible, buy molygen now and keep the bottle safe. Because i dont know why i am expecting that LM will increase its price soon especially for molygen.

2sz-fe is 1300cc engine same like gli.
Suggestions goes to 5w oil. And if not using havoline before, then even 0w oil will work excellent too. Now depending.upon your pocket you can choose

LM 5/40. Change after 10k and both filters after 5k.

Ptt performa 0/40 super synthetic. Interval same as above.

Ptt performa 5/40 fully synthetic, interval 8k but change filters after 4k.

Zic xq 5/40 fully synthetic. Change after 10k and both filters after 5k.

Kixx PAO 5/40 fully synthetic. Change after 8k and both filters after 5k.

LM 0/30 (if can find this oil, then go for it).
Change after 12k and both filters after 6k.

LM 0/40 (if can find this oil, then go for it).
Change after 12k and both filters after 6k.

VERY V. IMPORTANT: which gear oil you are using.? It has to be CVT for sure. Hope you must not be using any local company gear oil, these will not bring good. While cvt oil's performance is really outstanding and long lasting and fuel saving and smooth like silk.

engine condition is you can say is close to 9/10
    LM 5/40 synthoil sir.
First time.keep the change interval as 6-7k only because of previous oil which is mineral or partially synthetic. But next time, do 10k for sure and filter change after 5k.
This oil will really help to increase the mileage min. 1~1.5km/l for sure.

Are you guys doing oil analysis like I posted?

The blackstone labs kit I posted comes in the mail as an empty bottle, we then fill up the bottle as required (only about 50 ml) part midway when the oil is draining out, pack it up, attach a check and send it over. A few days pass and they send you this report in the mail and also email.

If you are doing this in Pakistan then I salute your effort.

Brother is LM Synthoil, Molygen or MOS2 available in 3L or 1L pack ?

    Any price idea ?

    They don't come with 3L pack. Only 1L, 4L & 5L.
With LM distributor here in Lahore, these are available in 4L packing only. 7~8 years back, it was coming only in 5L pack even.

    Prices are
    Synthoil Hi-Tech 5/40 Rs. 4800/4L.
    Molygen 5/50 Rs. 4800/4L.
    MOS2 10/40 Rs. 4000/4L.

The MOS2 was semi synthetic. While Molygen is fully synthetic.
Molygen is latest one and has some extra nice features that superbly help for the fuel reduction and reduce the wear.
They produced this oil in SJ Grade and hence made it suitable for all 2001 and older engines.
Presently am using 5/40, after that i am also intended to use this Molygen in my Passo.
