Default CNG IN COURE AUTOMATIC (MYTH BUSTED)

    Dear All

As I joined Pakwheels to get some details regarding CNG Coure automatic details and never can find some valid replies, recently I get installed CNG in my 3 months old Coure Auto and following are some initial results in Public favour:

First of all it is totally wrong that Cuore auto dont run on CNG.

My experience with cng cuore auto is fine from the last one week.

Yes there is some (only little bit) pick less while air cond is on, but remember The great Mehran has also this problem.

In Petrol i was getting about 6-7 Rs per Km, In CNG it is 2.10 Rs per km with air cond.

I red some where in Pakwheel that CNG auto dont climb the ramp of owners home......totally myth...My office ramp is 4 feet steep climb and coure climb well.

if you dont use the AC there is only 19-20 difference..

At last i installed Landi Renzo kit with 55 cylinder in 28500 From Muzang Lahore (Lahore CNG center)

Ready to reply any quick (simple) questions.

Isnt the rear suspension effected because I have the same auto Cuore and someone told me that ull be ruining the rear suspension because small cars like this have very vulnerable suspension and with the family packed in it it will be messy regarding space and bumps
Well mine cuore gives almost 100 kms in rs 500 worth of petrol and no more its driven 3100 km and is April 2006

i have installed 40kg cylinder in my coure automatic and lendi renzo kit.
And i am satisfied with its perferomance ,costs Rs. 2 /km in the city with ac and Rs. 1.5/km on high way with ac.
initial pick is less when ac is on but i think that will be a problem too in manual version.
And yes i too agree that it is just a myth that auto transmission cars can not be converted on cng.As all of us can see many Prosmatic and city vario converted to cng.Even now lancer A/t is available in ff cng.

I forget one point to add:

It is very important how you drive after CNG in Coure Auto, Push of your foot on Accelerator should be gentle, decrease the pressure when you feel gear should change, in this way i hope the only Technical draw back can be reduced.

Now as i have driven almost 1000 km on cng and total km of car 10,000. My question is " Is there any draw back for automatic gear, will it not create problem with cng, i mean it is not worthy to save some money if after some time i see that my auto gear is finished.

keep in mind if you ask Toyota they strongly refuse the installation of CNG in coure, Why? i couldnt get any tech details from Toyota...Can any one explain

    @Umer
Problem is with gear changing. Ato tranny on ANG often do mishifts which causes reduced life.
The method u have described is normal for any auto on any fuel. U want to chanbge gear at same speed, gently take your foot back a little. it changes to the next gear which is obviously economical.
