Exclamation Confusion between FAW V2 2016 VS Mitsubishi Mirage 2013

Dear Pakwheels buddies, I am confused about selecting between FAW V2 2016 1.3L VS Mitsubishi Mirage 2013 1.0L. I can afford budget of 1.1M and I need a car for some comfort and safety as I had to travel 700 km once a month; 500km on GT road and other 200km on local metal roads (with 2 persons and luggage). No problem with fuel mileage and resale value, but little conscious about spare parts and service. Do not want more visits to mechanics (want peace of mind and some trouble free years). Auto and manual transmission are not a problem factor. Previously I have owned Daihatsu Cuore 2012 and Suzuki Mehran 2014 .

Will be very Appreciating if help is provided to decide please especially from existing owners of V2 and Mirage.

If you want some reliability and wide availability of spare parts & after sales service, why not look at the Suzuki Cultus? Sure its not cool as a Vitz or Mirage but it will be brand new with a warranty. Plus reasonable fuel economy. Although I am not a Cultus fan but if I had only 1.1 million I would buy a Cultus. Others here will curse me but that's what I would do

In this budget suzuki wagonR 1000cc pkdm is good choice. Comfortable fuel efficient and good resale with support from 3S. A real peace of mind. Hundred time better then cultus.

Truthfully, I would stay awat from the FAW. I haven't drovenI the car but the Chinese are still years away from Japanese workmanship. In your budget, I would advise Passo. Its a nice car, spares are available and at the end of the day, its JDM.

Go with mirage eyes closed , it is far away better than FAW. Only its draw back is unavailability of spare parts. But IMHO if u find a good & fresh conditioned mirage than I think that its also a peace of mind for 5 years except regular oil changes & periodic maintenance.

I agree with ufi2007. The WagonR had completely slipped from my mind. It is definitely a better car than a Cultus. The Mirage & FAW I am not too keen about.

Faw V2 is loaded with some excellent features and price tag is attractive but there is a risk of Chinese company whether they stay or not in Pakistan like QQ shevrolet and others. One million is a good amount and you would never want such vulnerability. Mirage is a good car with loads of options but availability of parts is a big question mark. About passo and vitz it needs hectic search and expertise to find a clean car in this range. On the other hand pak suzuki wagonR ?s a lil compact car having k series engine famous for good fuel economy the only setback is its ugly shape like Bolan. But it's performance so far is so good.

FAW has its own plant in karachi and they started building vehicles there; i heard. so i dnt fear they will flee from market and last day i see five faw carrier n XPV on road from home to my job location. Suzuki wagonR , you are right, it looks ugly. my mind is focusing on FAW V2.

Before knowing about FAW V2, i was 100% sure to buy Mirage but was little worried about spare parts and service; also of repaired vehicle from japan. now i am more thinking on FAW V2.
