Smile What car Should I buy?

Hello, I'm a beginner and need expert advice here. I learned to drive and got my first driving license recently. Could you please guide me what car should I buy? Should I go for an auto transmission or a shift stick? My budget is 1 million (could go up to 1.2). And my personal choice is Honda City 2007-8. I would greatly appreciate it if you kindly give me some advice or opinions. Thank You.

I am not sure about Pakistanis cars but go for shift stick. They are fun to drive cheap to maintain. Less hassle.

Great. Thanks for your opinion. Maintenance cost is also to be considered. I didn't have it on my mind before.

In this budget, you can go for Automatic Vitz/Passo/Boon, etc. try to find CVT models which gives best fuel economy.
but there is only one problem. Once you drive any of these cars by yourself, you will never gonna like City, cultus, corolla, and other similar cars. lol

    Its transmissions or Gear shifting.

One has Manual Gear Shifting (M/T).
Then we have Automatic Gear Cars who do it by themselves (A/T).
Now this CVT is latest form of Automatic gear. Called “Continuous Variable Transmissions”.
It consumes very less fuel as compared with A/T.

Most of the models since 2010 and later are with CVT.
Earlier than 2010, many are A/T. Normally its mention on the dip stick of gear oil.

I have had Hybrid Toyota Estima The CV failed on it, and it was a nightmare of a job, Was told to get a new CVT from Jap which was about to cost about 5 grands, NZD plus labour insurance etc, I gave up. Those who praise cvt never had cvt or just the name and function attracts them.. Don't go for it, anyway for your instance read customer reviews about cvt Pros and Cons of Continuously Variable Transmisssi... - CARFAX Connection

You can find clean 2009 or 2010 Model Honda City M/T. Don't Go for Civic. You can also find 2006 or 2007 Model Honda Civic in 1.2 million. But Honda city will give you best fuel avarage, less expensive in parts and service then civic.

But as it's your first car, i will suggest you to go for new car. Wagnor VXL fit well in your budget. Lifetime token, Good AC and 20km/Ltr avg with in City. And you don't have to visit mechanic again and again.
