    Default hOW TO DISOWNED PREVIOUS CAR

    AOA, Dear Members,
    I have sold my ALTO VXR- Karachi, sindh in 2008 But unfortunately still car ownership is on my name.
    Plus Electronic Tickets of Traffic violation are also dropped at our address.
    Pls can anyone help me how to disown my old car.
    Pls Help me, it is a serious matter for me now.

    if you have the copy of registration book, delivery order with date, time & sale receipt with buyer's cnic make copy of the same write a cover letter that the car make & model year registration number so n so has been sold to mr. so n so cnic number so n so on zx.01.2099 (date). I'm not the current owner of vehicle please update your records. & send by TCS to the motor vehicle registration office. civic centre Karachi

    attach copy of all relevant papers of sale

    .. keep TCS receipt as evidence.

    if you do not have any such paper in your custody, so HELP YOU GAWD

    Thanks For reply capsat, i have all relevant documents, Let me know, is it works? i mean to whom i write a letter? DO they update their record with reference to my letter?

    Are you not from Karachi?
    If yes, then call their helpline and speak with their representative and send the copy documents to his attention by courier as advised by capsat and save the receipts/awb no. etc.

    Or alternatively you can ask the buyer (whom you sold your car) to transfer this car to his name immediately. If he does, then automatically everything will be good.

    if you are checking at excise portal online - do not trust. simply goto Civic centre pay Rs.100 to any agent and get print out of current ownership

    Thanks tintin bro, i am from karachi , further excise dept does not have any helpline for moter cars.
