Default Sunny, Lancer, Optra 1.6 L, CNG--Clear Winner?

I am trying to decide between these three cars. I have visited the dealerships and they look OK. Looks-wise, I found Optra the best looker by a small margin.
Their prices are almost identical, so not a consideration.

I tried to get the positioning statement from the dealers--why should I buy their car, as opposed to the other two choices but I just don't get a good, credible answer. They actually are not very good at marketing, since I don't see any clear statement regarding the merit of their own car.

Nissan's major drawback is 20K/1 year warranty...the other two offer 2 years.
Optra's major drawback is zero history in Pakistan. Has a CD player, while the other two don't.
Lancer did not have a CD player either. However, as far as I know their parts are much more expensive than Sunny.

Resale is probably not a consideration for me, as long as the car does not break down.

I would appreciate if members of this forum weighed in with their opinions. Also, am I missing some car that I really should be looking at? I am not very interested in the Pakistan assembled cars at this point.

    Thanks!

I'm in a similar position but personally inclined towards sunny because of its shape and reputation. My second option is slightly used Civic VTI bacuse of parts, resale etc.
We usually see only the things we are looking for.......... so much so that we sometimes see them where they are not.

Well, its good to see some dialouge for the three new cars in Pakistan. I dont belive on the cars assembled in Pakitan. I dont like corrolla, one that assembled in Pakistan.

I must say that Nissan Sunny is one of the good choice in between these three cars becasue I think it has spacious room, luxury while driving and great in look. So far I think it is the best choice for those people who realy wants to have an imported car like the one. I have never driven sunny but I have driven nissan maxima its drive is fantastic and wht a lovely car it is. The CNG will obviously detriorates the strength of the car but still I will vote sunny..

I will vote for Nissan Sunny AIR BAG, more spacious, 450 liter trunk, elegent looks and powerful handling i also did survey in 2005 and gone for sunny as resale isnt a issue to you and will enjoy the recent price decrease

i would agree with Hnaqi...slightly used vti oriel may be the best choice here...but since u r not interested in paki cars then i would suggest lancer. cd player is not an issue. overall performance , looks and credibility of lancer is much better than other two...and about parts you are going to get it insured arent u? obviously insurance company will pay for the parts

This is a vastly discused topic!...
    Plz search...
    My personal answer is LANCER!
RX-7? An RX-7? Really? I hope you know it's just a sports car with a washing machine under the hood.

    Salam

I would recommend Lancer among the three. I think its more agile and responsive. Personally I adore its looks. Though resale is not an issue here but among these three cars Lancer may have a better resale. Also these cars are good till they don't get hit as the parts are very expensive.

    Gentlemen,
I thank you all for your responses. I did go ahead and buy a manual 1.3 Liter CNG Sunny an hour ago. I believe, I bought the last one that is available anywhere in Pakistan. I preferred the Beige color, but by the time I got to the showroom, it had been sold. There was another one available(white), and it got sold right in front of us. We were at the showroom for 1 hour and 3 different groups of people came to inspect the cars and both cars got sold.

My main consideration in buying this car was the aicrbag--the deal clincher, so to speak.

I will try to share unusual experiences(if any) with the members of this board.

    Regards all!
