I am trying to decide between these three cars. I have visited the dealerships and they look OK. Looks-wise, I found Optra the best looker by a small margin.
Their prices are almost identical, so not a consideration.
I tried to get the positioning statement from the dealers--why should I buy their car, as opposed to the other two choices but I just don't get a good, credible answer. They actually are not very good at marketing, since I don't see any clear statement regarding the merit of their own car.
Nissan's major drawback is 20K/1 year warranty...the other two offer 2 years.
Optra's major drawback is zero history in Pakistan. Has a CD player, while the other two don't.
Lancer did not have a CD player either. However, as far as I know their parts are much more expensive than Sunny.
Resale is probably not a consideration for me, as long as the car does not break down.
I would appreciate if members of this forum weighed in with their opinions. Also, am I missing some car that I really should be looking at? I am not very interested in the Pakistan assembled cars at this point.
Thanks!
