Toro Rosso team put up for sale

Scuderia Toro Rosso have been put up for sale, with joint owner Dietrich Mateschitz wanting a new buyer to be in place by the end of next season.

The Italian outfit have been surrounded by speculation for months that Mateschitz and fellow shareholder Gerhard Berger were looking at selling the team - although each time this was denied by those involved.

Raikkonen sure Ferrari will fix problems

Kimi Raikkonen is convinced his Ferrari team will be able to solve the reliability problems that hindered their Australian Grand Prix weekend.

The world champion was hit by trouble in qualifying, meaning he had to start from 15th place, and then retired from the race with an engine problem.

BMW: Too early to fight Ferrari, McLaren

BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen thinks it too early to say if his team are ready to take the fight to McLaren and Ferrari just yet, despite their strong showing in the Australian Grand Prix.

Robert Kubica just missed out on pole position in Melbourne, with Nick Heidfeld taking second place to equal the team's best ever result.

Lewis: More speed to come in Malaysia

Lewis Hamilton is confident he can extract even more speed from his McLaren MP4-23 as he targets a “dream double” victory in Malaysia this weekend.

The British star got his title challenge off to the perfect start in Melbourne last Sunday, winning comfortably from pole position as his two main Ferrari rivals faltered.

Williams 'must do better' in qualifying

Williams technical director Sam Michael says his team must do better in Sepang qualifying - even though it started the season on a high with third place in Melbourne.

Although Williams was happy with its race day performance in Australia, Nico Rosberg's seventh on the grid had been a disappointment.

The German had lost a great deal of practice mileage to gearbox and differential problems, which Michael believes cost the team a better starting slot.

Renault: We let Piquet down in Oz

Renault engineering director Pat Symonds says the team should shoulder some of the blame for Nelson Piquet's poor Formula 1 debut.

The Brazilian qualified on the back row of the grid and then ran at the tail of the field until retiring due to damage sustained in his tangle with Timo Glock and Giancarlo Fisichella at the first corner.

    Massa confident engine glitches fixed

Felipe Massa is confident Ferrari has solved the engine problems that hit his and Kimi Raikkonen’s cars last weekend in Australia.

Although both drivers were already out of the running for the major points-paying positions after each making several major errors, it was a rare double engine failure that ultimately ended the team’s disappointing race.
