who would have ever thought that bmw would be leading ferrari and mclaren in the constructors table... wow.

It was a good race... I thought it was funny that yet again somehow alonso and hamilton got into an altercation... I have a feeling that these two just aren't done with each other just yet.

Massa has arrived finally... really looking forward to the next few races now... honestly speaking bmw rising up the way they have has added a bit of excitement to the whole f1 scenario...

oh and one more thing... MOSLEY SHOULD F*CKING QUIT!

Nice race. Enjoyed it thoroughly for all the right and wrong reasons some of which are so obvious i don`t even need to mention them :-)

Surprised that Raikkonen was the first of the Ferrari drivers to stop. That makes Massa`s qualifying lap very special given that he was heavier than Kubica, and narrowly missed out on taking pole.

The biggest test for BMW starts now with the European season and all teams bringing major aero up-grades to their teams. If they can develop their car at the same rate as the other two front runners it would make for a very interesting fight for second place with first already having been decided imho :-P

    @beglar_begi

I think it`s a matter of time before he steps down.
Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

Fastest laps: Heikki quicker than the Ferraris

Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen dominated the Bahrain Grand Prix from start to finish, but surprisingly neither of them set the fastest lap at the Sakhir circuit.

Once again I can`t stop myself from the most ridiculous item of the day.

    Renault rubbish 'brake test' suggestions

Fernando Alonso and his Renault team have rubbished any suggestions that he 'brake tested' Lewis Hamilton prior to their collision in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Hamilton ran into the back of Alonso as they came out of Turn Three on lap two, and there had been suspicions from some that the Briton may have been a victim of a lift off the throttle by his former teammate.

    Renault reject 'brake-test' allegations

Renault have rejected claims that Fernando Alonso caused Lewis Hamilton to run into the back of his Renault by 'brake-testing' his former McLaren team-mate during the Bahrain GP.

It was easy to jump to the conclusion that Alonso somehow initiated that incident, but you have to be careful when saying that.

I saw a progressive acceleration by the Renault, but the McLaren accelerated more quickly and there was enough of a closing speed for the McLaren to ride up on the back of the Renault and knock its front wing off.

The more you look at the incident the more you realise that there was no moment when Alonso lifted or braked. He just didn’t accelerate out of the corner as much as Hamilton.
The stewards took no action and McLaren did not protest. Pat Symonds showed a few of my colleagues the telemetry and the throttle trace is constant.
Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Tyre strategies - Bahrain GP

The Formula One regulations state drivers must use both types of tyre compounds during every race.

Below is the order in which each driver used his tyre compounds in the Bahrain Grand Prix, as recorded by Bridgestone:

Kubica: Oil mix-up let Raikkonen past

Robert Kubica revealed that confusion over oil on the track caused him to lose second place to Kimi Raikkonen early in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The polesitter was passed at the start by Felipe Massa, then fell to third behind the second Ferrari two laps later.

Paper to send Mosley tape to FIA Senate

Members of the FIA Senate are to be sent full copies of the videotape at the centre of the Max Mosley controversy so they can judge his activities for themselves.

Amid increasing pressure Mosley to resign his FIA presidency over the revelations about his private life, the News of the World newspaper made further claims in its latest edition on Sunday.

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/66420

ADAC tells Mosley to reconsider his role

The ADAC, Germany's national motoring body, has written to FIA president Max Mosley asking him to 'reconsider' his position in the wake of the controversy over his private life.

Mosley has called an extraordinary meeting of the FIA membership to discuss the fallout from the tabloid revelations that have dominated headlines in recent days. It is understood Mosley wants to hold the meeting to provide 'total clarity' on the situation for members of motor racing's governing body.

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/66319

American body asks Mosley to step down

The American Automobile Association (AAA) has told FIA president Max Mosley that it wants him to resign in the wake of the scandal over his private life.

Although Mosley has claimed that he has support from several motoring organizations over the controversy that has overshadowed this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix, there have been calls from the German and Australian bodies for him to consider his position.

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/66407

Dutch federation wants Mosley to quit

The Dutch motorsport federation has added it voice to calls for FIA president Max Mosley to resign over the revelations about his private life.

With German's national motoring association, ADAC, having issued a statement earlier today stating that it wanted Mosley to 'consider' his position in the wake of the reports about Mosley's behaviour, the KNAF has gone one step further and indicated it wants the FIA president to step down.

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/66324

    BUT

Mosley insists he has done nothing wrong

Defiant FIA president Max Mosley insists he has done 'nothing wrong' in the scandal over his private life, and labelled his behaviour as 'harmless and completely legal'.

The head of motor racing's governing body has so far resisted all calls for him to resign in the wake of the ****** allegations made by the News of the World, and last night revealed that he would be suing the newspaper over the story.

    Teams ponder weight limit change

Formula One technical chiefs are set to discuss raising the minimum weight of cars from the start of next season, amid concerns about the impact of the new Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS).

Work at all teams is progressing hard on developing KERS, which will allow drivers to use stored energy to deliver an extra boost of power during races.
