Default Why most executives are provided Honda Cars

I have noticed that generally all the executives are provided Honda Civic cars, specially in Islamabad. Although there are other cars in the 1600cc and up catergory i.e. Toyota Altis etc but still most companies prefer Honda.

Similarly for all the tough jobs Toyota is selected for example Radio cabs, police etc.

    Any idea why?

Corolla is generally preferred by the government sector because it is "mazboot" according to my dad's ex-PTCL driver.

When my dad was in Warid, we got a Civic and a City- all warid had were a few BMW 5 series, Civics (and a lot of them), City's (again- a lot), a couple of balenos, and a LOT of cultus'!

    The private sector= honda/other brands
Government sector= White Toyota Corolla XLi

Well in Govt also, its not toyota always. Most of the PAEC cars are Honda City. However, Its true that mostly toyota's are found in Green number plate.

In our country Honda has a step above from all other cars in the market, so the Pvt companies do not care for few thousands to give a extra mile to their Executives.

HONDA= Fuel Efficient & Decent & Good looking fast car ...a good choice for private companies as they dont want to pay more for fuel or the daily wear n tear of car like otherz!

COROLLA= As it has a diesel model too! and the chasis and suspension is same for both petrol/diesel! it is made strong to absorb the engine vibration and torque! so thats y in almost every village guy having corolla and ppl buying corolla if they resude near bad roads! Also have greater ground clearance! baqi GOVT & Corrolla...true Govt ppl can just spent less money for a cheap XLi and keep maintaining it

It all comes down to Mr. Habib calling up General X or General Y and saying, "Hey, so this year, the government buys this many Corollas from us". And thats that.

Govt departments have all kind of vehicles like Cultus, Baleno, Liana, Xli, Gli, Civic. I think the reason is that they are bound by engine capacity i.e. if one is allowed 1000 cc car, he will definatly buy Cultus.

However on the other side, private sector is dominated by Honda.
