    Default Just some G's...

This thread is a tribute to one of my favorite jeeps of all time.. the G Wagen / G Class / Gelndewagen. Some random facts are: - The G Wagen was built apparently because a Benz shareholder from Iran wanted a military vehicle added to the lineup. - There are only 12 G63's in the world. I'm attaching some pictures I found while surfing the internet right now, hoping you guys can add some more and perhaps share your views about the ride. Just some Gs -544293

I think links are not allowed.. But anyway, the 73? Thats insane. Also, found your newspaper story on another website.

anonpak: thanks for putting up that picture. I love nice machines on my soil. Gives me a good feeling. Makes me want one even more

The colour looks nice too.. Need a Wagen! Aaaaaaah.

    @hardtalk
brother question is not what you have or what you have driven, what best called is what has more demand,up in your topic you said i stand for G coz

Its the real deal. Powerful, great off road, looks (atleast for me), reliability, resale perhaps, and maybe even a bit of luxury obviously. Lastly, for most people I think the G class easily meets their "move-outta-my-way" requirement and the feel good factor.. Examples would be Brad Pitt and co., Becks, etc

Brother, Reliability, resale, luxry.according to recent CNN surway LEXUS LX 470 is #1 in driving comfort, resale, driving comfort, and safty prospect.

Your Dad was wise enough to bought a Range Rover and he preffered RR over G
You preffer G not coz of above coz Brad Pit own it and its in a movie(ghar Ki Murgi Daal Brabar)

for your info most of Hollywood celeberities own Range Rovers, Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson Briteny Sphears, etc own R R. crunt Surway thats how top 10 list is

The Cadillac Escalade is a luxury staple in the SUV category. Wilmer Valderamma owns the same Escalade that was punk'd by co-star of that '70s show, Ashton Kutcher. The Escalade's capable foundation is the new GMT800 platform shared with the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Yukon Denali. Built in Arlington, Texas, the Escalade's chassis structure features an all-welded, fully boxed, ladder-type channel-frame design with hydroformed front and rear sections.
Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson both own these sporty new SUVs, along with several other celebrities. The Range Rover is easy to drive and its high stance, which makes it so usable off road, puts the housewife head and shoulders above much of the traffic around her including other sport utility vehicles. And the new Rover does not fill tippy as some Land Rover products in the past.

Bug lover, we got the range because we can't AFFORD the G55, not because we were 'wise'. Most of the stuff you say, is right, but the used car market isn't a good medium to gudge a G Wagen by. I understand and trust your expertise since you run a showroom, but hey, I don't care what sales say. The crossover debate, all that jazz - it doesn't fit in here. Finally, give me ONE name, not a variety. One name of a jeep you'd chose over lets say the G63AMG, and we'll take it from there, Sir.

Oh and, as for stars, most of them are pussys. I don't care what they drive - because in my opinion, cars are made for PEOPLE - not just celebs.

p.s: In other news, Brad Pitt drives a G550 or 500 in black. Someone gifted Hillary Duff one too.

Shani: the first pic you posted is AMAZING. I'm in love with that hard top. The second is the Brabus sold back in the day, Alkazar posted a nice picture of that earlier as well. Mean machine.

Imagine Afzal comes up with a sick version for the Project Kahn lineup. That'd be crazy.

I wonder why the hell Project Kahn haven't done one up yet. They make candy cars too though, I hope if they do end up doing one, it stays bad ***.

Here's another celeb who knows how to spend in style...

Rudi Johnson, running back for the Cincinnati Bengals.

@ Bug lover.... Thanks for the offer, I will stop by sometime.
email me with your number and I will keep in touch.

And as far as me getting information from the net, where else am i suppose to, but it was good info right !!!!

My friend in ur eyes Land rover great than G wagon, and I disagree.

The survey done on G wagon, where 9 outa 10 people think the G wagon is Ugly and looks like a tractor, BUg lover is one of them. Its either u hate it or u love it. But they still sell the same shape and body after 30 years , that means alot. The car has reached cult status in the 4x4 world something similar to what VW Bug did in the car world....
