Default Storm-125 Fan/Owners Club

Hi Guys,

This is the fan and owners' club for Storm-125 by Ravi and Piaggio.

Some pictures are available online here:

Comparison with Suzuki and Honda is difficult only in terms of Reliability which can only be proven or otherwise in the course of time, although on features I can shed some light. I had ridden a GS-150 a couple of years back and there is a deluxe with another person at work, so I will try to post side by side pics next week.

Storm-125 has basically all features of both GS-125 and Deluxe:

- Best looks and style of any locally supported bike.
- Self start
- Gear indication
- Fuel gauge
- Handle lock integrated in ignition
- Parking lights, so the ignition is park, lock, off, on. You set it to park, the handle is locked and you take the key out.
- Deluxe style choke
- High beam dipper
- Engine kill switch
- Helmet lock (same key as ignition)
- Modern fuel tank lid
- 5 gears
- Good acceleration from stop
- Disk brake in front
- Great road grip, I would not lean a GS-150 as much as I did this one and got away with it
- Stylish exhaust (GS is now coming with simpler exhaust)

So in my opinion it still lacks some features:
- EFi
- EFi
- EFi
- Quality control
- 3S center in Islamabad
- Accessories like storage bags similar to what traffic cops are using on GS.
- Alloy wheels

I did comment on the acceleration but I will not comment on top speed because I ride safely 50 to 70 kmph normally. At this speed 70cc guys pass me but that does not bother me, I do not see a point in riding rashly when there is no place in Islamabad with legal speeds of more than 80 kmph

@mohsin
Bro i wanna sell my delux due to some reason
1st & major reason is its visor i.e a weird visor it broke as carrot its broke for almost 6 times within 2 yrs
2nd is its rear tyre Which doesnt have any kind of of grip in slippery areas n its difficult 2 handle this bike in muddy areas due 2 itsheavy weight
3rd: This bike's pick is not much as compared 2 other 125cc bikes
4th:This bike have a weird kick as well due 2 which i get injured my leg so many times
5th:Its engine vibrates @ 6k rpm whereas ma yamaha junoon gives minor vibration @ 8k which is negligible as compared 2 deluxe
I think thats enough reasons 4 selling it???

@all, for fuel average you need to run a full tank in a week or something to eliminate evaporation and all from the equation, when I use the bike less a lot of fuel gets evaporated and used in warming up the bike when my total distance is 6 km, and I idle the bike for at least full two minutes, moreover, the purpose of my bike is not saving every drop of fuel so I am the wrong person to talk to about mileage.

@JustFarooq, at 2k RPM there is nearly no sound, at about 3-4k RPM it is a nice sound and at 6k RPM its a bit getting to the louder side, but then even in 4th gear and approx 5.8k RPM I am already at 60 kmph so don't usually go higher in RPM and I have not done 1000 km yet.

@JustFarooq, dont forget that Storm has a 5th gear I would say it has its own sound, in 5th gear at 70 kmph there is no noticeable vibration.

Default At last i got my hands on the bike

Well scrolling on the posts through months at last i bought the bike. Its blazing performance and its totally not comparable with Honda 125 i own that too. Well see how much it goes as soon i complete the 1000KM of slow driving.

I have a GS-150 and a Storm 125.

Storm 125 is better. I will give a detailed review later on. I wish there was a Storm 250 though.

I have a 2009 Ravi-Piaggio Storm 125. Its just crazy.
People just cant help staring at it when you stop at a
traffic light. I have hot 130kmph on it and it still had
more throttle to go for. Best for long drives. Really nice
road grip and of course power, style and economy all in
one. Thats a great package. 5th gear and you are a gonner.
Correction Guys... I have "hit" 130kmph not "hot" 130kmph...

though it is pretty hot to hit 130kmph on Lahore roads.

@all............ the fuel average is amazing keeping in mind the

size of the engine and the weight. I am consistantly getting

53 to 55km/ltr. And let me mention that it has been 14 months

since I bought it. So it has 70 cc's economy with 125cc's power.
