    How do FIA knows I am going for Brawn in the Fantasy league. Now, I really need lefty's advise. :|
    Although still its one week before the race weekend I certainly like to know whom you are going for the first race in PFL.

    Lefty have win it fair and square although a bit of help from Max Mosley but it does not matter so please take the throne of PFL Guru Guide and take us to the destiny of Albert Park Melbourne. :p

    Another (U) news from the Tennis arena and that is Fedex has yet again beaten by Andy Murray in the Indian Wells Open semis. Now title mach will be played between Nadal and Murray today.

    Well when you put it that way... lefty shall regurgitate pearls of wisdom come Thursday night..........

    As for federer... yeah it was a very painful match to watch... I just dont get how Murray gets his number every time... on the other hand nadal vs. roddick was a very enjoyable match... some good tennis played there. Roddick has really improved his game... it seems the volatility is subsiding and a more consistent set of shots and serves are being dished out by the yank... good for him. I call Nadal in the final tomorrow... any takers?

    Do you have anything new for this season? Like your formula for success last season.
    I am not sure who to pick right now. It was pretty straight forward before the diffuser issue came up.

    @beglar_begi

    Nadal sadly.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    @UK
    Till now nothing is set and I will start the season as openly as possible. Last time I am a newbie in such type of fantasy and choose Ferrari as my team and driver A, while some one from williams and redbull was my driver B choices. this time I am going for both Brawn drivers in B choices until this diffuser issue arises. So now I am going open without any confidence. My driver A and team is what I counting on with Alonso and Renault respectively. One thing is for sure I will save Massa and Ferrari for two races one at Istanbul the other at Brazil. My whole strategy will form some shape after the first race and this diffuser issue solved.

    Okay now let's go off track for awhile and see what's going out there

    Flavio and Ron 'threatened to boycott' opening race

    The build-up to the 2009 Formula One season opener has been rocky, to say the least, and now it has been claimed that Flavio Briatore and Ron Dennis "threatened to organise a boycott" for the race in Australia.

    Red Bull threatens Brawn GP protest

    Red Bull Racing has said it will protest rival Brawn GP over the design of its diffuser if the team's current design passes scrutineering at Melbourne on Thursday.

    Questions over the design of the diffusers have surfaced since Williams and Toyota appeared to exploit the wording of the regulations to allow themselves a taller design than the rules originally intended.

    you have posted the same news item I posted before:p

    The 2009 Season Preview: Part Three - A Year for Dark Horses?

    Toyota believe they are on the brink of achieving a maiden win; Toro Rosso have already done it; Red Bull’s is arguably the most radical car on the grid; Williams’ flywheel KERS could prove a secret weapon; a McLaren partnership should boost Force India; and Brawn GP’s pace has already got the likes of Ferrari worried.

    Seven teams think the diffuser on Brawn GP is illegal. Are you still going to pick the Brawn drivers ?

    One thing is for sure Brawn have develop something which is raising eyebrows allover in the F1 arena. They have certainly found some silver lining in the rules of 2009 and exploit to perfection. What you say?

    I agree with that interpretation of events. But at the same time it could fall apart just as fast as it has come together.

    I forgot to add that Ron Dennis and Bryatore are p*icks who are simply trying to cover their blushes... Ron Dennis specially... give a brit an opportunity to harp about something and you'll never hear the end of it...

    Seven teams have a different interpretation of the rules and 3 teams, Toyota, Williams, and Brawn GP totally different. Which ever way it goes, the results will be provisional and only resolved after Malaysian GP. Which ever team and driver you pick, you`ll have to wait till after the Malaysian GP.

    Weekend weather update - dry start to ’09 season

    Welcome to the opening race of the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne’s Albert Park.

    Coulthard to serve as Red Bull reserve

    David Coulthard will be the man to step into the breach this weekend, should any of Red Bull’s four drivers be unable to compete in the Australian Grand Prix.

    The Australian Grand Prix Preview - The Wait is Finally Over

    At last, after what seems to have been the least conclusive off-season in a long while, the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship kicks off in Melbourne’s Albert Park on Friday. And, after months in which several teams appear to have achieved good things in testing, we may finally start to get some answers to that crucial question: who will set the pace?

    http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2009/3/9051.html

    @UK
    Sir, the problem is that if I select any of these three cars and in the end they are being disqualified I end up being loosing points in the fantasy league while if I go with the other seven team cars what ever the result of this diffuser issue I will not be hurt by that. I have posted my selection for this weekend in the PFL topic please check it.

    Well, what happens if the Brawn GP as expected by most takes the front row, and ends as 1-2 and eventually their appeal is upheld:s This weekend is more of a gamble than most. For starters, it`s the season opener and so no form guide to fall back on. Two, with so many changes for this season one can`t take what happened last year as a guide to this race.
    It`s a bigger gamble and i would suggest, you at least wait for the friday free practice before finalizing you picks.

    I am waiting for that and for lefty to share it`s infinite wisdom with us. :p

    Protest lodged over teams' diffusers

    Ferrari, Renault and Red Bull Racing have lodged protests about the legality of diffusers on rival cars, after BMW Sauber's similar complaint was rejected on a technicality.

    Following intense speculation in the build-up to the race about protests being lodged, an FIA statement on Thursday night confirmed that Ferrari, Renault and Red Bull Racing have lodged formal complaints with the race stewards.

    The protests are against Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams over the design of their diffusers, which teams claim exploits a loophole in the regulations to extend the diffuser higher than some believe is legal.

    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.
