I picked you above Button and this is what i get , 20th place for flexi wings!! Ah and seems that Ferrari and Red Bull have survived because Williams withdrew their appeal against them.

Ah never mind, can`t win em all, besides Vettel is going to retire anyway Go Rubens go!!

Just a thought, i wonder if anyone put money on Button or Rubenss winning the world championship when the odds on them were 250/1.

Now some technical analysis of qualifying we could easily see that all the drivers struggle with handling of cars because of slicks. All drivers during the Q2 used soft compounds and in the Q3 a radio conversation between Massa and his race engineer shows that hard compound tires are more difficult to drive specially for the first 2 or 3 laps tomorrow during the race. The cars that are not having KERS on board are having advantage because of more fuel and when fuel level decrease they could get more speed. Another thing to consider during race is the nose wing of every because in a slightest of contact could trigger a precautionary pitstop because of the move flaps on the front wings checkings. If any safety car session trigger during the amazing thing would be the pitstop on the first 2 or 3 laps.

The front wings on these cars could be a problem at the start. Drivers can`t see them and with bigger front wings, KERS to help some make better get aways, it could be a problem when they arrive at turn 1. Slicks aren`t so much a problem, it`s the two compounds that Bridgestone have brought to Oz which are a problem. Hard are too hard and take long to get the heat into tyres and Soft are good only for a couple of laps before they start losing performance. The softs remind me of the special qualifying tyres they used to have long back which were good enough for a couple of laps only. That being the case expect Brawns to run away with this race if they make a decent start and have reliability. They could destroy the field especially if tyre wear becomes an issue.

Well the tire compound is may be an issue but looks like all the drivers except Rubens have no experience on slicks at this level so expect them to struggle even Rubens could struggle in the start but as the race progress he gains momentum, mark my words bro.

I am not too surprised. Except that Hamilton finished 4th.

I think the Ferraris in terms of pace aren't far behind Brawn. Some mistakes that are becoming Ferrari's norm, prevented them to score decently. Don't know what went wrong with Massa, as I couldn't watch the later part of the race thanks to load shedding.

I agree with what @NS had to say about ferrari... they need to get out of their own way... they were not far off Brawn's pace at all.

I have to hand it to Button I didnt think he had it in him to lead right through... and I think Rubens showed his class. What an awesome first race. Everything that could happen did.

I am still not sold on the KERS set up... lets see how the drivers evaluate it...

I feel really bad for Kubica and Vettel... both were driving ridiculously well. If any one could have been accused of sand bagging I would say it was Kubica because during the practice session the guy was complaining about every single aspect of his cars setup... what a turn around.

Great start to the season... lets see how Malaysia treats Brawn GP...

Great Start indeed. It was indeed very disappointing to see Vettel & Kubica collide. Both these drivers are future superstars.

One has to congratulate Brawn indeed. What a man this Ross Brawn is, you can't keep him away from winning can you?

A fantastic result for Brawn and I am sure, everyone will be happy for them.

None of us are surprise by the result even Hamilton's fourth is not only because of his own work but some of the other's error also help him.

Hmmm...... The Brawn is fast, very fast. If they can develop their car at the same rate as the top teams they will be hard to catch. Reliability is another thing which might hurt them during the course of the season. Button had a lot in hand and could have gone quicker if there had been a need except for the last few laps when the super softs dropped off and people started to struggle.

Over at Ferrari, the stupid mistakes continue like starting with super softs and having to pit within 10 laps of the start. Their blushes were saved by the first safety car period. Same for Hamilton who lucked into a good result because of the safety car and misfortunes of others.

Trulli is under investigation for having fallen off the road behind safety car and then re-passed Hamilton to take third place. Vettel should have yielded the corner to Kubia and settled for third place. BMW feel the accident cost Kubia a win

Developing a diffuser like that of Brawn will cost about 5 million pounds. Mclaren are likely to have one for China or Bahrain( it might be another Mclaren hype) while the other teams will have to wait till the Spanish GP.
Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Trulli penalised, Hamilton gets third

Lewis Hamilton has been promoted to third place at the Australian GP after Jarno Trulli was penalised.

Trulli's third place was put under investigation after the Italian regained his position overtaking Hamilton during a safety car period, having run off the track when the SC was on track.

Both drivers were summoned to see the race stewards following the incident and it was decided to give Trulli a 25-second penalty which moves him outside of the points finish.

Toyota confirmed its intention to appeal the decision.

Vettel gets grid penalty for Malaysia

Sebastian Vettel has been given a 10-place grid penalty for the Malaysian Grand Prix next weekend following his clash with Robert Kubica in Melbourne.

Vettel crashed with BMW Sauber's Kubica with three laps to go when the Pole tried to overtake him around the outside.

Both men were forced to retire later on.

The German driver's Red Bull team was also fined $50,000 for instructing Vettel to stay on track despite running on three wheels.
Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.
