    @beglar_begi

    We had made nightgsurfer start a separate thread for other sports but we hardly ever posted there. I checked and the last post in that thread was in Feb of 2008|-)

    So once again another Federer showed up at the Australian open. Granted that his opponent had pretty much a one dimensional game and was short of ideas but how Federer played was like the Federer of old.

    @genius83

    Who remembers who finished second in the years to come. I agree that Hamilton didn't win the title as much as Ferrari lost it , but that should not take anything away from Hamilton`s success.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Renault sign Adam Khan for demo runs

    Euroseries F3000 front-runner Adam Khan has been announced as Renault's demonstration driver for 2009.

    The Briton, who also competes in A1GP, will be used to show off an R28 at the team's city road show events and during circuit demonstrations at World Series by Renault weekends.

    Speaking about the deal, which kicks off with a run in the Middle East early this year, Khan said: "It's an honour for me to join the ING Renault F1 team and I really can't wait to get started."
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    FIA confirms new safety car rules

    The FIA has confirmed that Formula One's safety car regulations are to be changed for the 2009 season following successful tests of new software throughout last year.

    F1 teams and drivers worked hard in 2008 to try and come up with a solution that would eradicate the need for the pit lane to be closed during the early stages of a safety car period.

    Business Mind Award

    After an exhaustive search spanning thousands of nominees from five continents, the International Collective Council of Excellence has announced this year's World's Greatest Business Mind to universal acclaim and fanfare.

    The decision was unanimous despite the fact the world-class shortlist comprised such well-known names as Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, Bruce Wayne, George Soros, and that kid who invented facebook.

    So their is a chance that in the coming years we could see Adam Khan in a F1 race. As for the safety car rule change I think it is needed to avoid any more controversies specially the traffic jam situation in the pit lane during safety car sessions.

    you know what man... I was trying to be modest about it and everything but when the cats out of the bag its out of the bag. So to all and sundry you may now shower upon me the praise and jubilation that I obviously deserve. By the by sir it was very kind of you to share that bit of good news with the folks on this F1 forum. And... well now that we are letting cats out of the proverbial bag here is another fur ball... it was not Mr. Slim but in fact me who was negotiating for Honda F1 :|...

    LOL... seriously though I showed it to a few of the guys at work and one of them turned out to be gullible enough for 20 seconds... I am sure the guys are gonna ride him hence forth... nice one!

    It is entirely possible. I recall reading an article sometime back about Adam Khan, and Eddie Jordan i think it was who was full of praise for him. If he continues to impress in Europe and has the necessary funding to carry on we could see him land a testing role with one of the teams although with the regulations the way they are now a test driver with huge experience will be preferred unless Adam Khan can bring huge sponsorship deal with him to a team. It`s a start, lets see where he goes from here. Btw can you shed some light on what happened to Pakistan`s team in A1GP? I happen to be watching the last race out of boredom and didn't see Pakistan`s car.

    All hail the greatest mind and i would request everyone who are regulars on this thread to show you the respect you deserve and have clearly earned. Shows what a man can achieve if guided in the right direction by his lefty:p but that`s something we won`t tell anyone and pretend the success was all your hard work.

    I always had a sneaky suspicion about your Honda connection especially with Jenson Button there:-) but the name " slim" was something that threw me off

    According to what the I have receive from the a1gp fan mail team Pakistan is having problems with the car and this is in the driver's seat which not adjusted to Adam Khan's level and Team Pakistan have not take part in any race during this season. Well what I received last time from mail was they will miss only half races in this season and will take part in Taupo A1GP which is the last race held. So now I think they are having financial trouble too and some management problems may be, because I never remember having the team owner as a driver of the team too.

    As for Adam praise by Eddie Jordan it may be because of his crash last season's last race at Brandshatch where he crashed into Australian car at the fastest stretch of circuit although no major injuries happen to both the drivers but that was one spectacular crash of modern car races.

    Thanks for the update on A1 GP team Pakistan. The issue must be finance related because it doesn't take so long to have a seat made or adjusted. If i am not wrong these are all Ferrari F2004. Anyway lets hope they make it to the last round of the championship.

    This certainly is financial problem because I have a feeling that A1 TeamPakistan is being government financed and the new government not want to finance the team anymore, as for the A1 GP car yes it is certainly the Ferrari F2004 based car with some required technical improvement with respect to the A1Gp regulations.

    the better man won today, and it really irritates me to say that. I think the guy who started calling the shots out on the last two points should be flogged.
    I really dont think Federer is finished... not by any stretch of the imagination... he just had to figure out how to get around Nadal and his spin.
    This sucks... but what a match.

    The better player "on the day" or in the fifth set won and he deserves it. I was a little surprised at match stats at the end. Federer total points won 173, Nadal total points won 172:s The unforced errors cost Federer .
    By the way does he have a coach these days? I suspect not.

    I agree that in the fifth set federer pretty much handed it over to Nadal and Nadal didnt really have to do much to lock down the championship but I have to give Nadal credit for playing a surprisingly tough match in the semis and then he ran every ball down in the final. Watching these two play against each other we get to see a level of tennis that is very rare. Although I still stand by my claim that Nadal's body is not going to be able to support his style of play for too long... the guys game is very very physical and frankly its only a matter of time before the knees really start to act up. Agassi was similar in his style of play (i.e. base line and running ragged) but he was of svelt built thus his body was able to weather the storm.

    For the record for the Federer haters... the guy isnt done yet!

    And no he doesnt have a coach and I really dont see him changing that... perhaps he needs a coach who is a lefty... ?
